Aquila has confirmed its 45 Sail for the Genoa Boat Show from 1 to 6 October 2026 through Italian sailing-catamaran dealer Barcando. The builder also identifies the model as a nominee for the 2027 European Yacht of the Year awards.
The 45 Sail has already made its world debut, so Genoa is a further opportunity to inspect the design rather than a second premiere. Its dimensions place it within LYG's 12.00–23.99-metre luxury-yacht remit.
A layout built for connection
Aquila describes a fixed bow cockpit, flybridge lounge and aft dining area linked through direct bridge-to-bow access. The company positions the arrangement for shorthanded sailing while offering multiple outdoor spaces.
The practical test is how a crew moves between control positions in different conditions, not simply how expansive the photographs appear. Model-specific operating guidance and current equipment lists should be requested from the builder.
An Italian appointment
Barcando is listed as Aquila's official Italian sailing-catamaran dealer for the Genoa presentation. Visitors can book a personalised tour during the 1–6 October show and ask which interior arrangement is on display.
The award nomination is a disclosed status, not a result or a judgement made by LYG. The official boat-show announcement does not make any unsupported promise about delivery dates or achieved passage speeds.
From a show visit to an ownership brief
A buyer can use Genoa to compare cockpit weather protection, access to the foredeck and the relationship between the two hulls and shared living spaces. Any particular sea trial should be agreed separately with the seller.
