Alltek Marine Electronics will demonstrate its new B620 and B650 AIS Class B transponder families at IBEX 2026 in Tampa from 6–8 October. The two lines offer different transmission methods and outputs for yacht builders and owners specifying vessel identification equipment.
AIS can improve awareness of surrounding traffic aboard a 12–23.99-metre yacht, but it does not replace lookout or collision-avoidance procedures. The supplier's announcement identifies Booth 3-338 and confirms the event presentation rather than a new boat model.
Two Class B approaches
The B620 family uses 2W CSTDMA transmission, while the B650 steps to 5W SOTDMA and can report more frequently in busy AIS traffic. Buyers should compare the operating requirement and the equipment approval for their flag and cruising waters.
Each line offers a basic unit and variants with Wi-Fi, an integrated antenna splitter or both. A splitter's suitability must be confirmed for the installed VHF radio and antenna arrangement.
Connecting the yacht's navigation system
The manufacturer's current specification lists NMEA 2000, dual NMEA 0183 and USB connectivity for integration with marine electronics. Installation still requires sound antenna siting, correct power supply and configuration of the vessel's transmitted identity.
A skipper should verify the displayed AIS target information against other available observations and equipment. The existence of electronic traffic data does not guarantee detection of craft that are not transmitting.

Alltek's official 25 August release puts both new families at the 6–8 October Tampa trade show and identifies its stand number. Owners can seek the latest regional approvals, software details and warranty conditions through the supplier or installer.
