Absolute Yachts has used the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival to introduce a new brand identity and explain how its product strategy is changing for the next generation of owners. Chief executive Alessandro Tirelli said the objective is to bring the way Absolute presents itself back into line with the quality, comfort and owner experience already developed across the current range.

The new direction is built around the phrase “a deeper experience”, with privacy, connection to the sea and quieter forms of luxury placed ahead of overt display. Absolute says the repositioning follows research into culture, clients, the competitive category and the company itself, with particular attention to a younger generation of luxury buyers.

From product-led engineering to experience-led luxury

Absolute argues that its yachts evolved faster than the language used to describe them. Large windows, open aft areas, better connections between interior and exterior spaces and increasingly private owner accommodation had already changed the onboard experience, while the brand identity still reflected an earlier period in the company's history.

The updated visual system draws directly from the yachts themselves, including a graphic element inspired by Absolute's distinctive forward hull windows. A new deep-blue palette and the lowercase logo are intended to reinforce minimalism and discretion, while the company's current website now carries the same “deeper experience” language.

A new-generation 62 Fly is due in spring 2027

The most relevant product announcement for the LYG sector is a new 62 Fly scheduled for spring 2027. Although Absolute previously used the 62 Fly name on an earlier generation, the forthcoming yacht is a new project rather than a continuation of the discontinued 2019–23 model.

Absolute says the new yacht will develop the open-cockpit concept introduced on the 60 Fly. Early figures released at Cannes include a flybridge of about 30 square metres and an aft open cockpit exceeding 15 square metres, with flexible furniture intended to let owners configure the space around different uses.

Twin master-style cabins change the accommodation brief

The yard is also promising an unusual lower-deck arrangement for the size class. The 62 Fly is expected to combine a conventional owner's suite with a VIP cabin designed to offer dimensions and finish levels closer to a second master, giving two couples more equal accommodation than is typical in this segment.

Full technical specifications have not yet been released, so Luxury Yacht Guide is not treating the forthcoming yacht as the same model as the previous 62 Fly or assigning unverified dimensions from the older generation. A separate production-yacht record should only be created once Absolute publishes sufficient official specifications for the 2027 design.

Brand change is being tied directly to future yachts

Absolute's Cannes presentation makes the rebrand more than a change of logo. The company is using the same themes of openness, privacy, natural light and connection with the water to explain how future yachts will be developed, making the new identity part of its product planning rather than a separate marketing exercise.

For Luxury Yacht Guide readers, the 62 Fly is the tangible part of that strategy. It will show whether Absolute can translate the “deeper experience” positioning into a production yacht where usable space, owner privacy and practical cruising remain as important as the visual identity surrounding the launch.
