Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina has achieved Five Gold Anchor accreditation following its first independent assessment under the international Gold Anchor scheme. The assessment covers marina operations, customer service, safety, infrastructure, environmental standards and the professionalism of the team delivering the berth-holder experience.
The accreditation gives owners a recognised benchmark when comparing facilities on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. Five Gold Anchors represents the top tier of the programme administered internationally by The Yacht Harbour Association and the Marina Industries Association.
94 berths on Jeddah's Red Sea waterfront
TYHA currently records Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina with 94 berths and capacity for yachts up to 120 metres. The marina sits on the Corniche beside the Formula One circuit, with King Abdulaziz International Airport roughly 15 minutes away and dining, hospitality and leisure facilities within the surrounding waterfront destination.
The marina's own berth-holder information confirms annual and short-term berthing for visiting motor and sailing yachts. Fuel, electricity, water, Wi-Fi, technical support and shore facilities are part of the current service mix, making the location relevant to smaller luxury yachts as well as much larger visiting vessels.
First assessment reaches the scheme's highest tier
Achieving the five-anchor level at the first independent assessment is the notable part of the award. The Gold Anchor process reviews more than visual presentation, with operational procedures, maintenance, safety management and customer-facing service all forming part of the assessment.
For owners, that external assessment is more useful than a marina's own marketing language because it provides a common framework for judging facilities in different cruising regions. It does not remove the need to check berth dimensions or local operating requirements, but it adds an independent service-quality reference point.
Jeddah is building a broader yachting destination
The yacht club combines the marina with private lounges, fitness facilities, dining and a beach-club environment. The adjacent waterfront also places visiting owners close to hotels, retail and the Jeddah Corniche, giving the marina a destination role as well as a technical berthing function.
Saudi Arabia is investing heavily in Red Sea tourism and marine infrastructure, and Jeddah is one of the most established operating points within that programme. The marina's accreditation gives the region another internationally recognised facility as cruising traffic and yacht events expand along the coast.
What the award means for LYG-sized yachts
Although Jeddah can accept very large yachts, the facilities are equally relevant to owners in the 12–23.99 metre Luxury Yacht Guide sector who are considering extended Red Sea cruising. Reliable shore power, fuel, servicing and an internationally assessed operating standard can matter more to those owners than the headline maximum-yacht size.
The Five Gold Anchor award therefore adds a practical piece of information to route planning. It gives owners another established marina option between the Red Sea's developing resort destinations and the major urban services available in Jeddah.
