An Australian landscape translated into a car
For luxury-yacht owners and guests planning time away from the water, this announcement connects leisure, craftsmanship and travel. Porsche Cars Australia has presented a one-off 911 Turbo S Land Down Under created through the Sonderwunsch personalisation programme to mark 75 years of the marque in Australia. Developed with the Style Porsche team and contemporary artist Werner Bronkhorst, it uses a shifting paint finish to evoke an outback sunset rather than reproducing a conventional racing livery.
Porsche published the full project on 6 August 2026. This is an individual commissioned design, not a newly announced production trim or an edition for which a public order book has been confirmed.
Seven layers of changing colour
Two bespoke Chromaflair colours, Terra Australis Red and Southern Cross Blue, meet across the body, changing appearance with the light. Porsche says the hand-applied gradient required more than 300 hours of work across seven paint layers, making the finish itself a substantial part of the commission.
The roof carries an understated number 75 using Bronkhorst's lettering, while a playful message appears beneath the rear spoiler when it is raised. These details are part of the unique car and should not be taken as optional equipment available on every Turbo S.
A cabin full of geographic references
Dark Night Blue leather and a specially created Coolibah Brown tone continue the landscape theme inside. The seats use a brushstroke-like pattern made from 14,417 individually placed perforations, while Australian Silky Oak, contour graphics inspired by the Blue Mountains and a Southern Hemisphere star map extend the story through the cabin.
The map depicts the night sky above Uluru in 1951, the year Porsche first arrived in Australia. Its connection to location and memory gives the personalisation a narrative that is not readily visible from outside the vehicle.
Where art meets engineering
Artist Werner Bronkhorst also contributed miniature works drawing on Australian fauna and landscape, placed in unexpected details around the car. For collectors, the project demonstrates how a bespoke vehicle can join art, craftsmanship and an existing engineering platform in a single commission.
