Venice is a destination where arrival by water is part of the experience, and the restored Danieli stands directly on the Riva degli Schiavoni. Four Seasons welcomed its first guests in July 2026 after work on the historic property, placing its palazzo architecture alongside contemporary hospitality.
Three connected chapters of Venice
The complex includes Palazzo Dandolo, a 15th-century Venetian Gothic residence, Palazzo Casa Nuova and the later Danieli Excelsior. Designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has reworked the first two buildings, using lagoon-inspired colours and restored craft details.
The hotel reopened with 120 rooms and suites, with additional accommodation expected when work on the Excelsior portion is complete in 2027. The current inventory should not be confused with the eventual full property.
A rooftop perspective over the lagoon
Terrazza Danieli looks towards San Giorgio Maggiore, giving guests a different view of the water from a small vessel or hotel launch. Chef Adriano Rausa’s food draws on Venetian and Italian ingredients, with some dishes finished at the table.
The bar and restaurant make it possible to enjoy the waterside setting without committing to a full day of sightseeing. Table availability and access for non-residents need separate confirmation.
Rooms informed by local craft
Murano glass, restored surfaces, Venetian mirrors and Rubelli textiles form part of the interior presentation. The hotel describes modern room controls and carefully integrated media displays rather than allowing technology to dominate its historic spaces.
Many rooms have lagoon, canal or rooftop views, but not all have the same outlook. Booking a particular view means confirming the room category rather than relying on a building photograph.
Arriving alongside a yacht itinerary
A shore stay can give owners and guests time to explore Venice beyond a quick excursion from a marina. Water transport, restrictions and the accommodation booking must be arranged for the actual itinerary, and the hotel should not be presented as a yacht berth.
