X54 E-PLUS combines diesel and electric propulsion

The X54 E-PLUS measures 16.63 metres overall and pairs twin Yanmar 4JH80 diesels with two 15 kW Integrel electric drives. Xquisite also lists 4.75 kW of solar panels and a 60 kWh lithium battery bank, creating an integrated system intended to support quieter operation and lower generator dependence.

For owners, the appeal is not just reduced noise but flexibility. Electric drive can be useful during low-speed manoeuvring and periods when owners want to move quietly, while the diesel engines remain available for longer passages and higher continuous loads.

Solar generation supports the onboard electrical system

The X54 E-PLUS uses a 48-volt DC architecture alongside its solar and lithium systems. That gives the yacht a higher-capacity electrical platform for modern domestic loads while reducing reliance on repeated engine charging.

Xquisite positions the model around single-handed and short-handed sailing, so automation and energy management are important parts of the design. A yacht that can support refrigeration, communications, navigation and domestic systems from renewable generation is particularly relevant to long-term cruising owners.

SIXTY SOLAR SAIL brings a larger offshore platform

The SIXTY SOLAR SAIL joins the X54 in Annapolis as the larger and more established solar-focused model. It combines substantial multihull volume with offshore-oriented systems and has already collected multiple sailing and innovation awards.

Showing the two yachts side by side gives buyers a useful comparison between a mid-50-foot hybrid catamaran and a larger solar sailing platform. Both target serious private cruising, but the differences in size, accommodation and energy capacity will suit different ownership plans.

Annapolis gives buyers direct access to both systems

The 2026 Annapolis Sailboat Show runs from October 15 to 18 at City Dock. Xquisite will display both yachts at Dock C and offer onboard visits throughout the event.

For LYG readers interested in hybrid sailing technology, the show provides a practical opportunity to inspect the electrical architecture, propulsion systems and layouts rather than relying solely on technical specifications. That makes the display particularly relevant to buyers considering long-distance cruising below 24 metres.
