Wally is using Monaco Yacht Show week to put the 17.3-metre wallypower58 in front of an audience more commonly surrounded by much larger superyachts. The model forms part of Ferretti Group’s Port Hercule fleet from 23 to 26 September, giving visitors a compact counterpoint to the group’s larger custom and semi-custom yachts.
A 17.3-metre yacht in a superyacht setting
The wallypower58 sits firmly inside Luxury Yacht Guide’s 12.00-to-23.99-metre market, yet its design language is deliberately drawn from Wally’s larger yachts. The glass-and-carbon cockpit dome, angular glazing and uninterrupted deck surfaces give the model a visual identity that remains recognisable even among significantly larger vessels.
That presence is useful at Monaco because owners and captains attending the show often assess tenders, chase boats and standalone smaller yachts alongside the main superyacht fleet. Wally positions the 58 as capable of functioning either as an independent sports cruiser or as a high-performance companion to a larger yacht.
Fold-down wings expand the aft deck
The aft deck centres on a large sunpad and fold-down side wings that increase usable space when the yacht is at anchor. A powered awning rises from the deck to provide shade, while the stern platform can lower into the water to improve access for swimming, toys and tender handling.
Inside the cockpit, wraparound glazing protects the main social space without cutting it off visually from the sea. Owners can configure the galley and storage areas to suit day use or weekend cruising, while the lower deck includes a double berth and bathroom facilities for overnight stays.
38-knot performance with IPS power
Wally lists a maximum speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of about 32 knots for the inboard wallypower58. The published cruising range is around 320 nautical miles, giving the yacht enough reach for fast coastal passages rather than restricting it to short transfers between nearby bays.
The model uses Volvo Penta D8 IPS800 propulsion and carries about 3,000 litres of fuel. The pod-drive installation supports the high-speed brief while also making harbour manoeuvring more approachable for owners who may operate the yacht without a large professional crew.
Monaco shows the value of scale contrast
Ferretti Group’s Monaco display is dominated by yachts well above the LYG size ceiling, including major new superyacht premieres. Placing the wallypower58 in the same environment highlights how much of the group’s design and technology language now extends into smaller owner-operated yachts.
The result is not a miniature superyacht but a different ownership proposition built around speed, deck access and flexibility. For an owner who wants a yacht that can be used spontaneously without the operational structure of a larger vessel, the 58 offers a markedly simpler route to the water.
