The 64SC broadens the 64 Series rather than replacing it
Viking positions the Sport Coupe alongside the Convertible and Enclosed Bridge versions of the 64, giving owners different ways to use the same underlying size class. The 64SC focuses on a sleeker enclosed command-deck profile, with direct cockpit access and a lower overall silhouette than a full flybridge yacht.
That choice is significant for owners who prefer protected helm operation but do not need a second upper-deck driving station. It also gives the yacht a more sporting character while preserving the internal volume needed for extended cruising.
Accommodation can range from three to four staterooms
Viking lists several galley-down three-stateroom arrangements as well as galley-up four-stateroom options. Owners can choose between different master-stateroom orientations and forward-berth arrangements, allowing the interior to be tailored around family use, guests or longer passages.
The flexibility is unusual for a yacht still below 20 metres. Rather than forcing one standard layout, Viking is using the 64’s beam and internal volume to offer meaningful choices in sleeping capacity and circulation.
A wide engine menu changes the performance brief
Base power is listed as twin MAN V12 1550CRM engines at 1,550hp each, with Caterpillar, MAN and MTU options extending to just over 2,000hp per side. Standard fuel capacity is 1,830 US gallons, with an optional increase to 2,185 gallons.
This broad power range lets owners prioritise different combinations of speed, range and engine preference. It also reinforces the model’s position as a serious offshore yacht rather than a design exercise built mainly around interior space.
At 19.46m, the 64SC remains firmly inside the LYG remit
The 64 Sport Coupe has an 18ft 10in beam, equivalent to 5.75m, and a displacement listed at 43,375kg with standard fuel. These dimensions put it near the upper-middle of the under-24m market while still avoiding the operational scale of a superyacht. The proportions keep it substantial without pushing beyond the under-24m category.
For LYG readers, the 64SC is particularly interesting because it combines substantial accommodation and high-performance machinery with a yacht size that can remain comparatively practical to berth, operate and maintain. That balance is central to the model’s appeal for experienced private owners.
