The show moves to a Saturday-to-Saturday schedule

British Marine says the revised timetable has been developed in response to exhibitor feedback. The eight-day structure retains three weekend trading days while concentrating visitor activity into a shorter period, a change intended to improve the commercial value of exhibiting without removing the breadth of the event.

For yacht buyers, the shift should still leave ample opportunity to compare boats on the water, inspect equipment and speak directly with builders and dealers. The show has traditionally mixed new-model displays with marine technology, services and demonstrations, making it particularly useful for owners planning a purchase, upgrade or refit.

Fairline, Princess and Sunseeker confirm early

Fairline, Princess Yachts and Sunseeker have all committed to the 2027 show. Each builder has a substantial presence in the 12-to-24-metre luxury-yacht market, so their early confirmation is directly relevant to owners shopping within Luxury Yacht Guide’s coverage range.

Specific 2027 display models have not yet been announced, although Fairline has indicated that it expects to bring a new British debut. The final line-ups will matter because the three builders collectively cover flybridge, sportbridge and performance-cruiser formats across much of the owner-operated luxury-yacht sector.

Mayflower Park is secured for the next three years

British Marine has also committed to keeping the show at Mayflower Park for the next three years. That gives exhibitors greater certainty when planning larger displays, hospitality areas and marina berths, while preserving the on-water element that allows prospective buyers to assess yachts in a realistic setting.

A stable venue is especially important for manufacturers moving multiple yachts to a show. Berthing plans, transport, commissioning and staffing all require substantial preparation, and a longer-term commitment can make it easier for builders and dealers to plan launches and customer events around Southampton.

The 2027 edition will build on a commercially strong 2026 show

The announcement follows the 2026 edition, where British Marine reported strong visitor engagement and early boat sales. The organiser says the revised format is intended to support exhibitors while continuing to bring together yachts, equipment, technology, watersports and on-water experiences.

For the under-24-metre market, Southampton remains one of the most useful UK opportunities to compare several established yacht brands in one location. Further exhibitors and model debuts are expected to be announced as planning progresses toward September 2027.
