Two partners will operate as one local team

Luxury Marine, represented by Ben Vaes and Lars Lensing-Hebben, will work with Berthon Sales Group representatives Alan McIlroy and Richard Baldwin under the new arrangement. Solaris says the partners will share clients and coordinate marketing rather than operate as disconnected sales channels.

That structure can simplify the ownership journey because prospective buyers and existing owners have a clearer local point of contact. It also gives the builder a coordinated way to manage enquiries that arrive from different national markets but converge around Palma and the wider Balearics.

Palma becomes the commercial coordination hub

The joint team will operate from Berthon's sales office on Calle Porto Pi in Palma de Mallorca. The location places Solaris close to a dense network of marinas, service companies, yacht managers and seasonal owners who use Mallorca as a base for western Mediterranean cruising.

Local presence matters in the 12-to-24-metre market because many owners remain closely involved in maintenance, upgrades and seasonal planning. A dealer able to coordinate sales and after-sales relationships in the same cruising region can be more valuable than a remote national representative.

British and German clients are a stated priority

Solaris says the partnership will pay particular attention to British and German customers, who make up an important share of the local market. That focus reflects the international nature of Balearic yacht ownership, where the vessel may be Spanish-based while the owner, finance and service relationships span several countries.

Supporting those clients requires more than translation. Registration, taxation, commissioning, warranty work and resale all benefit from advisers who understand both the yacht and the practical realities of keeping it in a different jurisdiction from the owner's main residence.

The agreement strengthens Mediterranean owner support

Solaris describes the arrangement as part of a wider commitment to the Mediterranean market. For the builder's sub-24-metre sailing models, the Balearics are a natural territory because they combine active cruising, strong marina infrastructure and a large international owner population.

The commercial value will ultimately be measured after delivery, when owners need responsive technical and relationship support rather than only a sales presentation. A coordinated Palma team gives Solaris a stronger platform for maintaining that connection through the full ownership cycle.
