Saxdor builds its first boat in America

Saxdor Yachts has begun producing boats in the United States, announcing the completion of its first American-built Saxdor 320 GTO on 19 October 2026. The Finnish-founded brand is using Malibu Boats' Fort Pierce facility in Florida to support growing North American demand.

The announcement follows Saxdor's move into Malibu Boats Inc. and complements existing production in Finland and Poland. It represents a manufacturing milestone rather than simply the opening of another regional dealership.

The 320 GTO begins the programme

The first completed US-built 320 GTO is ready, and Saxdor says serial production is now beginning. The model gives the new factory an established platform as the manufacturer develops its American operations.

The company has not disclosed a specific annual output target for Fort Pierce. Production volumes will depend on capacity, supply and customer demand.

Another model follows

Saxdor plans to add the 270 GTO to its Florida production schedule, followed by more models as operations develop. The staged approach means not every boat in the Saxdor range is currently manufactured in the United States.

Owners considering local delivery should confirm where a particular vessel will be built and the applicable warranty arrangements. Factory location may also depend on model and timing.

A wider dealer and support network

Saxdor is strengthening its dealer and service presence in North America and the Caribbean. It reports recent appointments in Canada, Argentina and Caribbean markets as part of that expansion.

In the United States, Saxdor and MarineMax plan to involve Malibu Boats dealers in regions where MarineMax does not already provide coverage. That gives the manufacturer a way to improve customer access without replacing its established partners.

Fort Lauderdale as the showcase

The development comes immediately before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, scheduled for 28 October to 1 November 2026. Saxdor is exhibiting six models at Bahia Mar with MarineMax, providing a public setting for the announcement.

The planned display includes the 460 GTC, 350 GTW, 400 GTS, 400 GTC, 320 GTO and 270 GTO. A displayed model should not automatically be assumed to have been built at the new Florida facility.

Saxdor 350 GTW receives a debut

The 350 GTW is being introduced in an updated form, replacing the 340 GTWA and bringing refinements to the wheelhouse and accommodation. Its revised sliding-door arrangement is intended to open both sides more completely for airflow and social use.

Other changes include an optional L-shaped sofa, a redesigned helm console with integrated air conditioning, additional storage and updated cabin details. Twin Mercury Verado V10 350-horsepower engines will be available.

More from the 460 family

Saxdor is testing its new 460 GTS following its world debut at Cannes and preparing for serial production. The company expects to introduce that model to the American market in the middle of 2027.

An aft-cabin version of the 460 GTC is also in development, adding another accommodation arrangement within the platform. These are future plans, not confirmed show deliveries.

Docking and digital technology

Saxdor is continuing to introduce Simrad AutoCaptain autonomous docking technology developed by Navico Group. The company is also developing Boat IQ, an AI-assisted onboard information tool connected to its Saxdor AI knowledge platform.

These systems are intended to support owners and reduce complexity, but they do not eliminate the need for a competent person in control. Owners should verify which functions are supported on a specific boat and software version.

Training for local technicians

Saxdor says it is working with Navico Group to provide technical programmes for regional service teams. This can be important for owners who rely on increasingly integrated navigation and boat-management equipment.

Training and dealer support complement the production investment by helping operators maintain their craft after delivery. The announcement does not promise that every service centre will immediately have every spare part.

A larger American footprint

Saxdor's first US-built boat signals a more substantial commitment to its largest developing markets. The combination of manufacturing, distribution and product development is intended to make the company more responsive to customers.

The confirmed October news is the Fort Pierce production milestone and the forthcoming display of six Saxdor models at Fort Lauderdale. Future production timing and individual delivery dates should be checked with the builder.
