The 50 Sports Motor Yacht heads to Florida

Riviera's current Fort Lauderdale line-up includes the 50 Sports Motor Yacht alongside the larger 58 and 64 Series II. The 17.01-metre model gives the builder a more compact entry into its enclosed-flybridge cruising family while retaining the blue-water features associated with the collection.

For LYG buyers, the model is significant because it packages three cabins, substantial deck areas and an upper helm into a yacht that remains well below 24 metres. That combination can appeal to private owners seeking more separation between social, sleeping and navigation spaces.

An enclosed flybridge changes the cruising experience

The 50 Sports Motor Yacht uses an internal staircase to connect the saloon with a fully enclosed, air-conditioned flybridge and helm. This arrangement gives the skipper a protected upper-level driving position while preserving views and creating another usable living space away from the main deck.

An enclosed bridge can extend the cruising season in regions where heat, wind or rain would make a fully open flybridge less comfortable. It also provides additional separation when family or guests want to use the saloon while the yacht is underway.

Three cabins and twin IPS950 engines

Riviera provides a three-cabin, two-bathroom accommodation deck with a full-beam master stateroom, allowing six people to sleep aboard. The yacht is powered by twin Volvo Penta D11 IPS950 engines, each rated at 725 horsepower, with joystick control available for close-quarters manoeuvring.

The specification supports serious private cruising without requiring the yacht to grow beyond a manageable overall length. Owners also gain a large cockpit for water sports, a foredeck relaxation zone and all-weather alfresco space between the cockpit and saloon.

Part of a 14-yacht Riviera showcase

Riviera's 2026 Fort Lauderdale display spans several product families, allowing buyers to compare the 50 Sports Motor Yacht directly with SUV and Sport Yacht alternatives. That is useful because yachts of similar length can deliver very different ownership experiences depending on whether an enclosed flybridge or single-level main deck is preferred.

The show runs from 28 October to 1 November at Bahia Mar Yachting Center. Riviera says the display will be supported by owner education and technical activities, giving existing and prospective customers access to both the boats and the systems behind them.
