Seven LYG-size yachts cover several ownership styles
Princess lists the Y72, F65, F58, S65, V55, V50 and C48 Open among the yachts scheduled for its Fort Lauderdale display that sit below the 24-metre threshold used by Luxury Yacht Guide. The broader stand also includes larger X Class models, which fall outside LYG’s editorial scope.
The seven relevant boats give buyers a useful cross-section of the Plymouth builder’s range in one place. Owners can compare conventional flybridge layouts with sportbridge and sports-yacht alternatives, while the C48 Open adds a more open-air concept for warmer climates and shorter coastal use.
The F58 shows how much volume fits into 18.2 metres
Princess quotes an overall length of 18.2 metres for the F58, with accommodation for six guests and a maximum-speed range reaching 35 knots depending on engine choice. Its flybridge, foredeck terrace and aft cockpit are arranged to provide distinct social zones without pushing the yacht into a larger operating category.
The model is particularly relevant to owner-operators who want genuine cruising accommodation but still value marina flexibility and straightforward access to regional service networks. Seeing it alongside the F65 at Fort Lauderdale should help buyers judge how much additional volume and complexity they actually need.
The S65 brings a sportier alternative at 20.6 metres
At 20.6 metres overall, the S65 uses a compact sportbridge rather than a full traditional flybridge and is designed for owners who want a lower-profile silhouette with an upper driving and social area. Princess lists accommodation for up to eight guests and twin MAN V12-1400 engines.
The layout combines a main-deck saloon, aft cockpit, foredeck seating and a tender garage with the extra flexibility of the sportbridge above. For buyers who divide their time between fast day passages and multi-night cruising, that balance can be more attractive than maximising enclosed volume alone.
V Class and C Class broaden the comparison
The V55 and V50 represent Princess’s sports-yacht approach, while the C48 Open gives the display another interpretation of premium owner boating. The V50, for example, measures about 16 metres and uses Volvo Penta IPS propulsion with joystick control and assisted-docking capability available within its technology package.
Fort Lauderdale is therefore more than a single-model launch opportunity for LYG readers. It provides a concentrated chance to compare seven yachts within the same brand family, helping prospective owners weigh accommodation, upper-deck space, performance character and handling systems before narrowing a shortlist.
