Moving circulation changes the available beam

The central idea behind the X70 is to shift much of the conventional side-deck circulation upward, allowing the main-deck interior and aft living spaces to use more of the yacht's full 5.34-metre beam. PRESTIGE says this architecture is intended to create the feeling of a much larger yacht.

This wide-body approach creates gains in saloon and cockpit width but changes how guests and crew move fore and aft. Buyers should therefore assess circulation as carefully as floor area, particularly when considering docking, line handling and movement between exterior zones.

The owner's cabin gains private access

The layout includes a full-beam owner's cabin reached by its own staircase, separating the principal suite from the guest accommodation. The design also expands the aft cockpit into a broad waterside social area that benefits directly from the full-width architecture.

These features borrow from superyacht planning but compress them into a production platform. The benefit is greater privacy and social space, while the trade-off is a more complex internal route network than on a conventional flybridge yacht with continuous side decks.

Twin Volvo IPS units provide the propulsion

PRESTIGE lists twin Volvo IPS1200 or IPS1350 options, with a published cruising speed around 20 knots and maximum speed up to 26 knots depending on configuration. Fuel capacity is 4,000 litres, supporting multi-day coastal cruising.

Pod drives also support joystick manoeuvring and free designers from traditional shaft lines, helping the interior team use the lower-deck footprint more efficiently. Actual performance will depend on loading and conditions, so the published figures should be treated as builder reference points.

The X70 remains an architectural proposition

The X70's defining characteristic is not its maximum speed but the way Garroni Design and PRESTIGE reorganised space, light and movement. The model aims to give owners the atmosphere of a villa on the water, with broad social zones and strong visual links to the sea.

At 21.83 metres, this makes the X70 relevant to buyers who want superyacht-style planning without crossing into the 24-metre-plus market. Its continuing presence in the product portfolio shows that architecture and circulation can differentiate a yacht as strongly as propulsion.
