Omikron Yachts has announced a coordinated American boat-show programme for its OT-60, with three appearances scheduled between 17 September and 1 November 2026. Its 16 September statement describes a distribution and marketing initiative rather than a new yacht launch: the model made its regional debut at Fort Lauderdale in 2025 and is returning to meet buyers in different parts of the United States.
The programme will be delivered alongside South Florida representative Jono Fleming of Axis Marine Group. A builder that appears at several events in succession can use the same model to test demand among owners with very different cruising plans, although the company has not disclosed sales figures or confirmed orders arising from this itinerary.
Newport opens the programme on 17 September
Omikron lists the Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island for 17–20 September as the first stop. The event brings the OT-60 before a Northeast audience whose cruising options include New England harbours, summer coastal passages and longer routes to Florida. Prospective visitors should confirm appointment availability and the precise boat location with the manufacturer.
Newport is not a world premiere for the yacht, and describing it that way would confuse the company’s market expansion with product development. The fresh announcement concerns where the model will be shown and how the builder is organising its American representation.
Annapolis provides a second regional appointment
The tour moves to the Annapolis Powerboat Show from 8 to 11 October. This creates a separate opportunity for Chesapeake Bay owners and East Coast buyers who may not attend the Rhode Island exhibition, while giving Omikron a chance to present an established yacht in another regional cruising community.
Annapolis also provides a different operating context from a Mediterranean summer show. Buyers assessing a long-range cruiser can use the visit to discuss enclosed accommodation, ventilation, deck access and the practicalities of moving between seasonal cruising grounds rather than concentrating solely on appearance.
Fort Lauderdale closes the autumn tour
Omikron gives 28 October to 1 November as the dates for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The Florida appearance builds on the OT-60’s American introduction there last year, making it a return visit with a continuing local representative rather than the first time the design has entered the market.
The three stops cover the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast rather than relying on one national exhibition. That geographical spread is relevant to an overseas yard, but attendance alone does not establish a permanent service network or the availability of particular inventory in every location.
Axis Marine Group is the named US partner
The manufacturer identifies Jono Fleming of Axis Marine Group as its South Florida-based agent for the programme. Interested owners therefore have a named US commercial contact, although the announcement does not list a new dealer appointment date, service-yard contracts or a nationwide set of maintenance facilities.
Before ordering an imported yacht, buyers should establish which company handles commissioning, warranty issues, spare parts and any electrical or compliance differences. Those questions follow from the expansion announcement, but the answers must come from the seller’s written arrangements rather than being inferred from a boat-show schedule.
An 18.4-metre yacht within LYG coverage
Omikron’s own model page lists the OT-60 at approximately 18.4 metres overall, with a six-metre beam and a shallow published draft close to 0.9 metres. Those figures put the model inside Luxury Yacht Guide’s 12.00-to-23.99-metre range without extending the coverage to the larger boats appearing at the same shows.
Its Eco-Cruise hull is associated with naval architect Juan Kouyoumdjian, while Lorenzo Argento shaped the exterior and interior concept. The design combines a relatively broad platform and large windows with an emphasis on economical passage-making, but owners should check the actual specification and handling arrangements for an individual vessel.
Performance figures need configuration context
The September US-tour release describes up to 1,400 nautical miles at eight knots and a consumption of 1.25 litres per nautical mile, with a twin-370hp Yanmar configuration capable of a reported 16-knot cruise. These are manufacturer-supplied figures for a stated operating scenario, not independently witnessed results for every OT-60.
Omikron’s model website also publishes different headline range and maximum-speed figures, so it is important not to combine the most favourable numbers from incompatible configurations into one promise. Fuel reserve, loading, sea conditions and chosen engines all belong in a documented performance discussion before purchase.
The commercial news is access, not a model launch
The builder says its US audience includes experienced owners and some people entering yacht ownership for the first time. That is a description of the customer mix supplied by the company, not a measured market study, and no sales total accompanies the September release.
The immediate news is straightforward: three confirmed exhibitions, a named representative and another chance to inspect the OT-60. The next independently checkable development will be any specific orders, deliveries or further permanent support arrangements that Omikron subsequently announces for North America.
