Five models covered different cruising priorities

Marex brought the 310 Sun Cruiser, 330 Scandinavia, 360 Cabriolet Cruiser, 390 and 440 Scandinavia to Port Canto for the 2026 Cannes show. The line-up allowed visitors to compare open-air layouts with more enclosed Scandinavian-style cruising configurations in one place.

The largest boat in the display, the 440 Scandinavia, sits firmly inside the luxury-yacht segment covered by LYG and acts as the range flagship. Its role is to combine family cruising comfort with the practical weather protection that has long shaped Marex design.

The 440 Scandinavia anchors the premium end

Marex developed the 440 Scandinavia around extended onboard use rather than short day trips alone. Large social areas, protected circulation and multiple sleeping spaces are intended to make longer cruising practical for owners who prefer to operate without a large professional crew.

That owner-operated approach is an important part of the 12-to-24-metre market because buyers often want substantial accommodation without moving into the complexity of a fully crewed yacht. Ease of handling therefore matters alongside finish, interior volume and exterior living space.

Cannes gives the range a direct comparison point

The Cannes Yachting Festival places Marex alongside a large number of European production and semi-production competitors. Showing five models together lets prospective owners compare how the brand uses space, glazing, cockpit protection and helm ergonomics across different lengths.

For a builder with a clear family-cruising identity, an in-water show is particularly useful because visitors can assess movement between saloon, cockpit and side decks rather than relying on photographs. Those details often determine whether a yacht feels practical after several days aboard.

The show supports wider European growth

Marex has expanded its international profile as demand for premium Scandinavian cruising boats has grown beyond Northern Europe. Cannes gives the builder access to Mediterranean owners and dealers who may use the same boats in warmer conditions but still value protection from wind, rain and shoulder-season weather.

The five-model display therefore served both product and market goals. It showed the breadth of the current portfolio while reinforcing Marex’s position as a specialist in owner-operated family yachts that can support longer cruising without excessive operational complexity.
