An American first for the GT50

BENETEAU has identified the Annapolis Powerboat Show as the venue for the official US debut of its Gran Turismo 50. The show runs from 8 to 11 October 2026 at City Dock in Maryland.

The 15.95-metre motor yacht is the flagship of the new-generation Gran Turismo family. The shipyard says Chesapeake Yacht Center will present the model and arrange visitor access.

This announcement is distinct from the model's previous European appearances and from the brand's separate Fort Lauderdale plans. Annapolis is specifically described as its American debut.

The new generation of Gran Turismo

The Gran Turismo concept combines express-cruising performance with sheltered accommodation and open-air living spaces. BENETEAU positions the 50 as the range's larger model for owners seeking extended time afloat.

An official Gran Turismo 50 image already held in LYG's production database illustrates the story. Buyers should not assume the equipment and décor pictured will match the exact American display yacht.

The manufacturer describes the new design as a blend of contemporary styling and comfort. A personal inspection provides the opportunity to judge visibility at the helm and how the exterior areas connect to the saloon.

A narrowly defined LYG exhibit

The builder's Annapolis announcement also lists Gran Turismo 35 and the Flyer 30 roadshow. Both are below the 12-metre threshold, so the Gran Turismo 50 is the only listed in-scope motor yacht in this particular display.

That distinction matters when preparing LYG coverage because an event can include boats for several different market segments. The site's interest here is the 15.95-metre flagship and its arrival in the United States.

BENETEAU says the Flyer 30 roadshow will continue to other American venues, but that programme is not a luxury-yacht story for this site. The manufacturer's GT50 announcement stands on its own.

What visitors can confirm at the show

Visitors can request access through a BENETEAU dealer and ask Chesapeake Yacht Center about the display model. Confirming the appointment before travelling is advisable because admission and onboard access can be managed separately.

The event page specifies 8–11 October at Annapolis City Dock and calls the GT50 presentation its official US debut. LYG's previous Swanwick fleet report concerned a different September exhibition and did not cover this American first.
