The design is built around extended cruising

Lagoon presents the SIXTY 5 as a platform for longer voyages rather than a coastal-only sailing catamaran. The wide hull spacing, large tankage and substantial sail plan are intended to support owners who spend extended periods aboard and may cross significant distances between marinas.

At 20.55 metres overall with a 10-metre beam, the yacht creates interior and exterior areas that would be difficult to reproduce in a monohull of similar length. The emphasis is therefore on volume, autonomy and comfort rather than compact marina handling.

Eight to sixteen berths can be configured

The current programme offers four-, five- and six-cabin arrangements together with different galley positions and saloon choices. Depending on specification, the yacht can sleep from eight to sixteen people, making the same platform suitable for private use or larger guest groups.

This flexibility gives owners meaningful influence over privacy, social space and service circulation. A family-oriented boat can favour larger cabins and lounge areas, while another owner can select more berths and accommodation density without changing the hull platform.

Sail area reaches about 270 square metres

Lagoon lists an upwind sail area of approximately 272 square metres, with a full-batten mainsail and roller-furling genoa forming the principal working sail plan. An optional Code 0 increases the sail wardrobe for lighter conditions and different passage strategies.

The large rig is matched to a light displacement of about 39.2 tonnes, giving the yacht enough sail power for genuine passage-making rather than relying primarily on auxiliary engines. Actual sailing performance will still depend on load, sea state, wind angle and sail selection.

Tankage supports offshore autonomy

Fuel capacity is 1,300 litres and water capacity 1,000 litres, figures that support longer periods away from shore infrastructure. Lagoon also lists Category A approval for fourteen people, reinforcing the offshore orientation of the platform.

For LYG readers, the SIXTY 5 remains notable because it packages large-yacht living into a sub-24-metre sailing platform. The current model combines multihull space, long-range intent and semi-custom accommodation choices without moving into the operating scale of a larger superyacht.
