A new entry in Galeon’s flybridge range
The 420 FLY is the latest addition to Galeon’s flybridge family and builds on the established 400 FLY with revised styling, larger side windows and a more developed three-level living plan. At 13.68 metres overall, it remains compact enough for many marina berths while offering the separate zones expected from a larger cruising yacht.
The aft cockpit uses an L-shaped sofa, folding table and wet bar, while the bow carries a dedicated sunpad area. With both side balconies lowered, Galeon says the yacht expands to 5.90 metres across the open deck, increasing the waterside footprint without adding permanent beam in harbour.
Two en-suite cabins below deck
The lower deck is arranged around two cabins, each with a private bathroom. A full-beam owner’s cabin sits amidships with a king-size berth and additional headroom, while the forward VIP gives guests their own enclosed accommodation rather than relying on a convertible saloon.
On the main deck, the galley remains part of the social space beside the dining and lounge seating. The lower helm is positioned forward to starboard with a double seat, keeping the principal navigation position within the same open-plan interior rather than separating it from guests.
The flybridge becomes a second social deck
Above, the flybridge provides another dining and lounge area together with a grill, wet bar and centrally positioned helm. The layout gives owners a second outdoor entertaining space distinct from the cockpit and foredeck, one of the key reasons buyers step up from hardtop cruisers of a similar length.
The relatively compact hull length makes that distribution noteworthy because the yacht still retains two proper en-suite cabins below. Galeon has concentrated on usable zones rather than maximising the number of berths, keeping the model aimed at couples and families who value privacy and deck space.
Sterndrive or conventional shaft propulsion
Owners can specify either DPI sterndrive or traditional shaft-drive propulsion, allowing the installation to be matched to cruising grounds and handling preferences. Maximum engine power is listed at twin 480hp, giving the 420 FLY a flexible mechanical specification rather than tying the model to a single propulsion architecture.
The result is a new under-14m option that combines flybridge cruising with the expandable deck ideas Galeon has popularised on larger models. For buyers comparing compact luxury motor yachts, the 420 FLY’s strongest distinction is the amount of exterior living space it can create once anchored.
