Fiart is taking the new SX5 to the Genoa International Boat Show for its Italian premiere, following the model’s international debut at Cannes earlier this month. The 17.30-metre yacht will be displayed alongside the P58 from 1 to 6 October at Quay E, Stand YE40.
A second major show for the SX5
The move gives the SX5 a second major Mediterranean showcase within weeks of its world premiere. Genoa also puts the model in front of Fiart’s home-market audience at one of Italy’s most important annual boating events.
Fiart positions the SX5 as the new focal point of its SX Line rather than simply a larger version of an existing walkaround. The design is intended to blur the division between interior and exterior spaces, with circulation and sightlines organised around a close relationship with the sea.
17.30 metres built around outdoor living
The SX5 measures 17.30 metres overall with a beam of 4.38 metres and a displacement of about 15 tonnes. Its most obvious social feature is the broad aft beach area, which extends the main living spaces towards the water and is intended to work as both a bathing platform and an informal waterside lounge.
Large windows bring natural light below deck, while Fiart offers two- or three-cabin arrangements with two bathrooms and an optional crew cabin. Fuel capacity is listed at 1,800 litres and fresh-water capacity at 800 litres, giving the yacht a specification aimed at more than short day use.
IPS propulsion for the new SX line
Power comes from twin Volvo Penta D8 installations, with IPS700 and IPS800 configurations listed by the yard. Fiart has not framed the SX5 around a headline top-speed figure, instead presenting the propulsion package as part of a balance between performance, manoeuvrability and extended cruising comfort.
The exterior and general concept were developed under designer Massimo Simeone, whose work gives the yacht a protected but open character. The emphasis on connected spaces is particularly visible aft, where the main deck transitions towards the beach area without turning the stern into a separate zone.
Fiart pairs SX5 with the P58 in Genoa
Fiart’s Genoa display will also include the P58, the flagship of its Custom Luxury Line designed by Stefano Pastrovich. Showing the two yachts together gives the builder a way to present two different interpretations of the luxury-cruiser market within a similar size band.
For the SX5, however, Genoa is principally about moving from an international launch to a domestic introduction. The timing keeps the model visible through the autumn show season and gives prospective owners another chance to inspect the yacht only weeks after its first public appearance.
The Genoa International Boat Show runs from 1 to 6 October 2026. Fiart says visitors will be able to board the SX5 and P58 at its Quay E display throughout the event, subject to the show’s normal access arrangements.
