A layout built around the main deck
The 580 measures 18.24 metres overall and has a maximum beam of five metres, putting it among the smaller luxury flybridge yachts that still offer a dedicated lower-deck bedroom arrangement. The builder's design prioritises light entering the main saloon and broad views towards the water.
A large flybridge creates an outdoor alternative to the interior dining and lounge areas. The forward deck adds another space to sit away from the cockpit, which can improve privacy when guests have different preferences.
The arrangement is especially relevant for owners who alternate between family weekends and entertaining friends. They should assess movement from the galley to the flybridge and cockpit under normal service conditions.
Interior themes and owner choice
Ferretti offers Classic and Contemporary interior moods developed with the Italian studio Ideaeitalia. That choice gives owners a route to select the atmosphere of the boat without fundamentally changing the underlying hull or accommodation plan.
Three guest cabins are provided, with two available layout options. One places a private study or vanity area adjacent to the midships master cabin, while the alternative uses that space for a further bathroom.
Changing a study into a bathroom can transform how a family uses the yacht, particularly when several adults are travelling. Buyers should judge the trade-off against the need for a private workstation or extra storage rather than treating either option as inherently superior.
Engines and actual performance
Ferretti lists twin Volvo Penta D13 engines rated at 900 horsepower as the standard propulsion choice. The current manufacturer specification quotes around 28 knots maximum and 24 knots cruising for that package.
A higher-output Volvo D13 1000 arrangement is offered, with indicative figures reaching 32 knots maximum and 26 knots cruising. Those values are estimates linked to the specified configuration and will change with equipment, passengers, fuel and sea conditions.
The yacht carries a published 3,250 litres of fuel, while its freshwater capacity is 700 litres. Owners should ask for range at several speeds and allow a safety reserve instead of treating the quoted cruising speed as a fixed economic setting.
The operational details
Draft is stated at 1.5 metres, and the published fully laden displacement is around 37 tonnes. These figures matter to berth selection, lift planning and the relationship between a planned cruising ground and shallow approaches.
The builder gives a maximum of fourteen people aboard, a figure distinct from overnight accommodation. Safe day use and comfortable multi-night cruising require different assessments of space, equipment and local regulations.
The 580 shows how a relatively compact flybridge yacht can be highly configurable without losing a coherent identity. Its appeal lies in the balance of deck access, private accommodation and the choice between two recognisably different interior settings.
