Cantiere del Pardo has opened its first representative office in the United States, choosing Fort Lauderdale as a permanent base for the group's Pardo Yachts, VanDutch Yachts and Grand Soleil Yachts brands. The move gives the Italian builder a direct corporate presence in one of the world's most concentrated marine-industry markets rather than relying exclusively on its dealer network from Europe.
The office at 535 SE 17th Street is intended for use by US dealers and Cantiere del Pardo staff, with the company describing it as a step toward stronger relationships and better customer assistance. Fort Lauderdale's combination of owners, brokerage, service companies, marinas and major boat shows makes it a logical location for that expansion.
Three brands share one American base
The office represents more than Pardo Yachts. VanDutch and Grand Soleil are included under the same group presence, bringing performance motor yachts, luxury day boats and sailing yachts into one regional structure while allowing each brand to retain its own dealer and product identity.
That shared base can create efficiencies behind the scenes. Marketing, dealer support, events and administrative work can be coordinated locally, while specialist product teams continue to focus on the very different customers attracted to each range.
Fort Lauderdale offers access to the wider US industry
South Florida is not only a large end-user market; it is also a service and distribution hub for yachts moving throughout the United States, Caribbean and Bahamas. Establishing staff there makes it easier for an overseas builder to meet dealers, owners and technical partners without every decision requiring communication back to Italy.
The location also puts Cantiere del Pardo close to major events, including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the wider calendar of Florida boating activity. Regular physical presence can help a brand maintain momentum between shows rather than appearing in the market only during launch weeks.
Dealer support remains part of the strategy
Cantiere del Pardo says the office is available to Pardo Yachts dealers throughout the country as well as internal staff. That suggests the company is not replacing its distribution network with factory retailing but creating another layer of support for the organisations already dealing directly with customers.
Dealers can benefit from faster access to product, marketing and technical information, while the factory gains a closer view of regional demand. For a growing brand, that feedback can influence stock choices, event planning and option packages before trends are obvious in annual sales figures.
US growth creates a larger after-sales responsibility
Every additional yacht sold into North America eventually requires warranty decisions, parts and technical assistance. A local group office cannot replace service technicians, but it can shorten communication lines and help coordinate between owners, dealers and the European factory when an issue needs escalation.
That support becomes more important as the range expands into larger, more complex models. Owners spending significant sums expect the brand to remain visible after delivery, and a permanent address can strengthen confidence that the manufacturer is committed to the market for the long term.
A corporate step behind the product launches
Cantiere del Pardo has built strong recognition in the United States through Pardo's walkaround and GT motor yachts, VanDutch's distinctive open yachts and Grand Soleil's performance and cruising sailboats. Opening an office turns that product presence into a more formal operating structure.
The move will not determine success on its own; dealer quality, service capacity and model competitiveness remain more important. It does, however, give the group a practical base from which to coordinate those activities and signals that North America is being treated as a strategic market rather than a collection of individual export sales.
For US owners, the benefit should be measured in responsiveness rather than branding. If the Fort Lauderdale team can help dealers resolve questions faster, organise events more consistently and connect customers with the right factory expertise, the office will have a direct effect on the ownership experience across all three Cantiere del Pardo brands.
A shared office can reveal opportunities across the group
Bringing three brands into the same US base may also help Cantiere del Pardo understand how customers move between sailing and motor-yacht ownership. A Grand Soleil owner may later consider a Pardo as a second boat, while a VanDutch customer may encounter the group's sailing range through the same events or dealer relationships. Those cross-brand connections are easier to identify when regional teams share information rather than operating as completely separate businesses.
The group will still need to protect the individual character of each marque, because their design language and customer expectations differ. Used carefully, however, the common Fort Lauderdale structure can provide scale behind the scenes while allowing the customer-facing brands to remain distinct.
