BWA Yachting has opened new agencies in Panama and Colombia, extending its operational network across a strategically important junction between the Caribbean and Pacific. The expansion was developed with Rozo Group and gives visiting yachts local support in Panama City and Cartagena.
Panama Canal support becomes a core service
The Panama operation will place particular emphasis on yacht transits through the Panama Canal, including advance planning, documentation and local formalities. For owners and captains moving between Caribbean and Pacific cruising grounds, the new office adds a single BWA point of coordination before, during and after the crossing.
Cartagena adds a Colombian Caribbean base
BWA Yachting Colombia will support yachts operating along Colombia's Caribbean coast from Cartagena. Services include port and customs formalities, immigration and clearances, berthing, bunkering, provisioning, technical logistics, transport and concierge support for crew and guests.
A more continuous Americas network
The two agencies connect with BWA Yachting's established Caribbean and Puerto Rico coverage, creating a more continuous support route through Central and northern South America. The company says this is intended to make multi-country itineraries easier to manage as yachts move between the Caribbean, Colombia, Panama and onward into the Pacific.
Why it matters to yacht owners
Border procedures, canal documentation and local port arrangements can add complexity to an otherwise straightforward cruising plan. A broader agency network does not change those requirements, but it can reduce the number of separate local providers an owner, captain or management team needs to coordinate across the route.
