An Istanbul display spanning fast motor yachts and trawlers
BENETEAU has confirmed four motor-yacht models for the Bosphorus Boat Show in Istanbul, which runs from 17 through 25 October 2026. The French builder’s official event notice sets out a line-up divided between the Gran Turismo and Swift Trawler ranges, bringing two quite different approaches to private cruising under one display.
For visitors shopping in the twelve-to-eighteen-metre market, seeing several models together makes it easier to compare access, accommodation and how a boat might be used after delivery. The event also allows Turkish owners and prospective owners to ask a local dealer about equipment packages and operational support rather than relying only on catalogue photographs.
The official list includes the Gran Turismo 40 Coupe and Gran Turismo 50, followed by the Swift Trawler 41 Fly and Swift Trawler 54. All are below twenty-four metres and therefore fall within the core cruising segment covered by Luxury Yacht Guide.
Gran Turismo models focus on sociable cruising
The Gran Turismo 40 Coupe measures 12.53 metres overall with a beam of 3.68 metres, according to the show listing. Its enclosed hardtop format is designed to offer a sheltered helm and an easier transition between cockpit entertaining and indoor accommodation than a completely open dayboat.
Alongside it, the Gran Turismo 50 measures 15.95 metres overall and has a stated beam of 4.48 metres. Those additional dimensions provide scope for a larger interior and more separation between living and sleeping zones, although the practical benefit depends on the chosen specification.
Buyers comparing the pair should consider the number of guests they typically carry and whether the boat will be used for day trips, weekends or longer holidays. Berthing access, required operating crew and fuel use may matter more to the ownership decision than the simple difference in length.
Swift Trawlers serve a different type of owner
BENETEAU’s Swift Trawler 41 Fly measures 13.43 metres overall and has a beam of 4.25 metres, providing an alternative to the sportier Gran Turismo layout. The flybridge creates another outdoor steering and leisure area, which can make the vessel feel more flexible when weather conditions change.
The larger Swift Trawler 54 is listed at 17.13 metres long and 4.98 metres wide, offering a more substantial platform for extended cruising and entertaining. Its size also brings practical considerations for marina bookings, haul-out and long-term maintenance, particularly if the vessel will be kept away from a major home port.
For owners who plan multi-day coastal passages, tank capacities, engine economy, safe deck access and the quality of onboard storage should be part of a detailed viewing. A trawler-style yacht is often judged by its day-to-day livability as much as by the appearance of the exterior.
How to plan a useful visit at the show
BENETEAU is inviting visitors to request access through its dealer network rather than treating each yacht as permanently open for unscheduled private viewings. An appointment may be especially helpful when a buyer wants to compare interior configurations or discuss personalised delivery and equipment options.
Visitors should confirm the final boat availability, exact display location and local opening arrangements before travelling to Istanbul. Manufacturer show line-ups can occasionally be adjusted, and a brochure can describe optional equipment not fitted to the example displayed.
The Bosphorus event gives the yard an opportunity to present its two motor-yacht families to buyers operating between the Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Sea regions. For the prospective owner, the value of the show lies in matching the right operating profile with a suitable boat rather than selecting a model from dimensions alone.
