A roadshow reaches its Florida conclusion
BENETEAU has brought the new Flyer 30 to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the final scheduled stop of its 2026 US roadshow. The programme has taken the dayboat along the East Coast, allowing buyers in several regions to inspect it before the first planned customer deliveries in 2027.
The route began with the model's Americas premiere at Newport in September, followed by Norwalk and Annapolis. An October dealer preview in Charleston preceded the Fort Lauderdale appearance from 28 October to 1 November.
The schedule matters because the Flyer 30 is still being introduced to the American market. A visitor should distinguish the ability to inspect a show model now from the timing of a completed customer boat, which BENETEAU currently expects to begin reaching buyers in autumn 2027.
A nine-metre platform with a dayboat focus
BENETEAU lists the Flyer 30 at 9.22 metres overall with a beam of approximately 3.1 metres. This is the size class in which deck circulation, protection at the helm and the ability to transition between social areas often count for more than a long list of luxury equipment.
The builder describes a new interpretation of the Flyer range, intended for sociable coastal outings and more flexible use of the deck. The concept will appeal to owners who want a manageable dayboat for friends and family without stepping into the operational scale of a large motor yacht.
Potential buyers should ask how the layout adapts to swimming, dining and occasional longer outings. A short test on the boat can reveal whether boarding access, shade, seating and storage match the intended lifestyle more clearly than a collection of pictures.
From preview to production planning
The roadshow has been structured to introduce the boat and encourage early discussions with local dealerships. That gives visitors a chance to specify requirements and learn about future availability, while also creating a need to be clear about delivery expectations.
Dealers can provide current information on engine options, equipment packages, transport and commissioning. Those choices should be discussed against the owner's real cruising area because weather protection and service support may have more influence on satisfaction than one headline speed figure.
BENETEAU's published indication of autumn 2027 customer deliveries should be treated as a plan subject to the normal manufacturing and logistics process. Anyone reserving a boat should obtain the relevant terms, specifications and timing in writing before making a substantial financial commitment.
What Fort Lauderdale visitors should inspect
The best show visit begins with the practical details of a day on the water. Move around the cockpit, consider the balance between shade and sun, check whether bags and water toys have secure storage, and test how comfortably passengers can enter and leave the craft.
Ask the local dealer how the new model will be supported after delivery, including routine maintenance, engine servicing and warranty procedures. A boat designed for regular family use needs a straightforward ownership experience as much as an inviting launch-day impression.
The Flyer 30's arrival in Florida completes a multi-stop introduction rather than marking a claim that customer boats are already in circulation. It is an opportunity to evaluate the new design with a realistic understanding of when the model is expected to become available.
The multi-city route has also offered BENETEAU a chance to present the same model to boating communities with different conditions and habits. A New England buyer may think first about shelter and cooler weather, while a Florida buyer may emphasise ventilation, swimming access and time at anchor. The boat must be judged against each owner's actual use.
An important question is what is included in the prospective order and what remains optional. Initial publicity can illustrate several configurations, so the most useful dealer conversation produces a written specification, accurate lead-time expectations and a clear explanation of any charges that follow the initial purchase price.
