A cruising-led addition to the Azimut stand

The Magellano 25M is one of the Azimut models listed for display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from 28 October to 1 November 2026. Its presence is significant for buyers whose priorities include longer passages and protected guest comfort, rather than only open-deck entertainment at high speed.

Azimut measures the yacht at 25.22 metres with a 6.30-metre beam and a semi-planing Dual Mode hull. The builder associates that hull family with more efficient cruising at varying speeds, although any percentage saving depends on the comparison vessel, loading and test conditions.

The Magellano approach is not an argument against speed but a different emphasis on how owners actually use their boats. A family travelling between island groups may place more value on a comfortable mid-speed passage than on extracting a few extra knots during an occasional sea trial.

Four cabins with protected service spaces

The official specification provides four guest cabins and two crew cabins, accommodating eight guests and three crew. Azimut combines large windows with a raised pilothouse and an enclosed galley, arrangements intended to help separate working and leisure spaces during longer trips.

Ken Freivokh is credited with the exterior design, while the interior concept was developed by Vincenzo De Cotiis with decoration by Azimut. The design language is distinctive, but prospective buyers should still make their own assessment of storage, cabin access and practical wear surfaces.

The full-beam owner's accommodation and the different guest cabins warrant inspection for natural light, sound isolation and usable movement around the beds. On an extended trip, such details often matter more than how a cabin appears in photographs.

The numbers behind extended cruising

Azimut lists two MAN V12 1400 hp engines as standard technical information, with 1550 hp alternatives, and a published top speed of approximately 24 to 25 knots. Tankage is given as 8,100 litres of fuel and 1,500 litres of fresh water, figures that shape the yacht's possible endurance.

The builder also gives a draft of 1.90 metres and a full-load displacement of about 87.5 tonnes. These are useful starting points for calculating suitability for shallow anchorages, haul-out facilities and the costs of professional handling.

Published efficiency comparisons should be read with their stated reference case: Azimut compares its Dual Mode concept with conventional hulls of a similar weight and size. Owners need engine-specific fuel consumption tables and conservative reserves to translate that claim into a voyage plan.

Why the show visit matters

Onboard inspection can clarify the relationship between the raised helm, the enclosed galley and the guest saloon. Buyers should ask where the crew can move during meal service, how the aft deck can be used at anchor and whether the tender arrangement suits their intended shore excursions.

An operating plan should also identify the preferred cruising grounds and access to competent technical support. The yacht's nominal dimensions tell only part of the story when berth availability, winter storage and regional service networks are considered.

The Magellano 25M offers a distinctive option within the Azimut stand because the hull and guest layout are oriented around the journey. Its merits are best assessed by matching measured performance and onboard circulation to the owner's routine.
