Astondoa has confirmed that its 15.90-metre 577 Coupé received a World Yachts Trophy at Cannes, adding an award result to the model's earlier two international nominations. The Spanish yard reported the distinction in its 26 September show recap, after the yacht's French debut.
The award is a separate development from its European Powerboat of the Year and Best of Boats shortlisting, which Luxury Yacht Guide covered previously. Neither of those two nominations should be described as a win on the strength of the Cannes trophy.
A result after the model's debut
The 577 Coupé drew attention during the Cannes Yachting Festival and received the World Yachts Trophy on the show's awards weekend, according to the manufacturer. That is a confirmed distinction for this under-24-metre yacht, not a measured claim about its sea-trial performance.
The yard has also publicised its two other shortlist placements, which remain distinct competitions. Reporting the outcome separately avoids blending nominations with an award already presented.
The yacht behind the recognition
Astondoa publishes an overall length of 15.90 metres and a beam of approximately 4.61 metres. Standard propulsion is a Volvo Penta IPS arrangement, with a three-engine Mercury Verado outboard option identified in its published model material.
The aft-deck concept brings outdoor relaxation close to the water, with two cabins below and options for owner-specific finish. Buyers should confirm the propulsion and accommodation fitted to an individual hull rather than assume a show display represents every order.
Further recognition remains undecided
The European Powerboat of the Year and Best of Boats nominations place the model in two additional assessment processes. A nomination establishes selection for consideration but does not prejudge either event's final result.
