Charles H., the intimate cocktail bar at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, has unveiled its winter 2026 festive programme, with classic recipes reworked around selected spirits and elaborate service details. The programme also extends into the hotel's dining rooms and wellness facilities, offering more than one way to plan a seasonal city visit.

The bar takes its cue from a travelling bon vivant

Charles H. is named after Charles H. Baker Jr., a travel writer remembered for his interest in drinks encountered around the world. The Seoul bar uses that reference to connect familiar cocktail structures with ingredients and service techniques that reflect contemporary high-end hospitality rather than treating historic recipes as fixed museum objects.

The seasonal collection is designed to feel celebratory without demanding a formal tasting menu. For travellers based in Seoul for a few days, a bar appointment may provide a more contained evening experience than an elaborate restaurant booking, particularly after a busy schedule of meetings or sightseeing.

Eggnog returns for a fourth consecutive season

The Toasted Marshmallow Eggnog was first introduced in 2023 and returns with the recipe unchanged. Repeating a successful seasonal drink can create continuity for returning guests, while the familiar flavour gives new visitors an accessible point of entry into a list that also features more unusual spirits.

The Regal French 75 offers a different approach, combining Ruinart Blanc de Blancs with gin and freshly squeezed lemon, served in a Baccarat crystal flute. Its presentation is designed to make the act of serving part of the occasion, although the underlying balance of acidity and spirits remains more important than the glassware alone.

Limited bourbon allocations shape another signature

The Gold Fashioned features Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon, house-made syrup, bitters and a decorative cherry, poured over a carefully cut piece of ice. The bar says it works with importing partners to secure allocations of sought-after American whisky for the festive period.

Such allocations may be limited, and no visitor should assume a particular bottle will remain available on every night of the season. Prospective guests should enquire about the current cocktail list, prices and reservations rather than rely exclusively on descriptions written for a launch announcement.

Festive dining and wellness complete the stay

Elsewhere in the hotel, the seasonal food programme includes pastries from Confections and special dining experiences at the Michelin-starred Yu Yuan and at Akira Back. Those venues have different culinary identities, making a multi-night stay more varied than one repeated festive banquet.

The Holistic Heritage package combines selected suite accommodation with Sulwhasoo skincare and access to additional guest facilities. It is a separate accommodation offer whose price and inclusions must be verified. The most compelling feature of the festive programme is the choice between an atmospheric bar visit, a formal meal and private relaxation, rather than a single prescribed holiday.
