IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its new Noted Collection brand to Jordan with a 50-room hotel in Amman created with Al Ameed Coffee. The concept will use Jordan’s coffee culture as the central theme, combining premium accommodation with a dedicated coffee reserve and experience centre across the lower floors.

Coffee becomes the identity of the hotel

The first two floors are planned as a coffee reserve and experience centre designed around the heritage, craft and rituals of coffee. Rather than treating the theme as decoration, the project intends to carry it throughout the guest journey and public spaces.

That gives the hotel a much clearer identity than a generic premium property. For travellers, the appeal is the chance to stay somewhere connected to a recognisable part of local culture instead of simply choosing another internationally styled room.

A small 50-room scale supports character

With only 50 rooms, the property should remain relatively intimate. That scale is well suited to a concept-driven hotel because staff can deliver a more personal experience and the public spaces are less likely to feel anonymous.

The smaller size also allows the coffee theme to remain coherent. In a very large property, a single concept can become diluted across too many restaurants, lobbies and meeting areas.

The location connects city and airport

The hotel is planned on a key corridor between Amman and Queen Alia International Airport. That makes it convenient for international travellers while still keeping the property connected to a growing part of the capital.

For LYG readers, the location could work well as part of a wider Jordan itinerary. Guests can combine Amman with Petra, Wadi Rum or the Dead Sea while keeping airport transfers relatively straightforward.

Noted Collection targets independent character

IHG launched Noted Collection as a premium collection for distinctive independent hotels with strong points of view. The Amman project fits that brief by using a local coffee company and a culturally specific theme rather than a standardised brand design.

This type of premium lifestyle hotel sits comfortably within LYG’s remit. It is distinctive and design-led without being ultra-luxury, making the experience itself more important than prestige branding.
