Grand Hyatt İzmir İstinyePark has opened as the second Grand Hyatt in Türkiye, repositioning an existing property with redesigned public areas, new dining and a stronger leisure focus. The 160-room hotel sits in Balçova with broad Gulf of İzmir views, direct access to İstinyePark İzmir and useful connections to the city centre and Aegean coast.

The hotel connects city access with a coastal outlook

Grand Hyatt İzmir İstinyePark sits where the city meets the sea, with the Kemeraltı Bazaar, Clock Tower and historic centre within easy reach. The hotel is also around 20 minutes from Adnan Menderes International Airport, helping short leisure trips avoid excessive transfer time.

Further afield, Urla’s vineyards and restaurants, Çeşme’s beaches and the ancient city of Ephesus provide very different day-trip options. That makes İzmir particularly useful as a base for travellers who want an urban hotel without giving up access to the wider Aegean region.

All 160 rooms look towards the Gulf of İzmir

DeSallesFlint designed the guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling glazing, balconies and panoramic water views, while the penthouse was created separately by Autoban. Rooms include large televisions, in-room bars, blackout systems and heated marble bathroom floors.

The interiors use wood, marble and neutral tones associated with contemporary coastal living. Nearly 40 artworks from Orjin Group’s private collection add another layer of identity, while the redesigned courtyard and lobby aim to feel more like an urban sanctuary than a conventional mall-connected hotel.

The spa gives the property a genuine resort element

The wellness area covers about 1,360 square metres and includes an outdoor pool overlooking the Aegean. Signature treatments range from hammam rituals to personalised recovery programmes, supported by a panoramic fitness centre and personal training services.

That scale matters because it allows the hotel to function as more than a practical city base. Guests returning from sightseeing or a day trip can spend a substantial part of the afternoon by the pool or in the spa without needing to leave the property again.

FARO7 adds a new social dining space

The new FARO7 restaurant sits outside the main hotel entrance around the courtyard, combining contemporary food with cocktails, wine, whisky pairings and an open-air terrace. The Bay Restaurant and Park Bar provide more conventional hotel dining and afternoon-drink options.

Direct integration with İstinyePark İzmir adds further restaurants and shopping within the same complex. For LYG readers, the property offers a polished upper-luxury base where sea views, wellness and city convenience are balanced rather than forcing travellers to choose between resort and urban styles.
