Ten years on Abu Dhabi's Al Maryah Island

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi is marking its tenth anniversary with Perspective, Crafted, an immersive celebration running until 23 October 2026. The hotel's October 16 announcement presents the programme as an exploration of craftsmanship, creativity and the stories behind a decade of hospitality.

Situated on Al Maryah Island, the hotel has watched the surrounding destination develop into a major centre for business, shopping and luxury stays. The anniversary is designed to connect that changing neighbourhood with the people and details that define the property.

A floral installation transforms the lobby

A large-scale installation in shades of purple and lilac fills the hotel's lobby and Al Meylas Lounge, inviting visitors to consider the public space from a different perspective. The design uses height, colour and densely arranged flowers to create a visual focus for the anniversary.

General manager Bob Suri says the celebrations are intended to recognise the team's contribution and its connection to Abu Dhabi. The result is a temporary guest experience rather than a permanent redesign of the hotel's interior spaces.

Afternoon tea inspired by the visual programme

Executive Chef Christian Buenrostro and Executive Pastry Chef Rasika Weerasinghe have developed Perspectives in Bloom, a limited-time anniversary afternoon tea. Its presentation draws from the floral installation and translates colours and textures into sweet and savoury dishes.

Pairing design with food is a familiar form of luxury-hotel storytelling, but the experience can be more personal when the culinary offering reflects a specific setting. Guests should consult the hotel directly regarding the latest serving times, menu and reservations.

A celebration of creativity and local identity

The hotel's programme includes a wider emphasis on design, heritage and the work of the people behind its guest experience. Rather than concentrating only on a formal anniversary dinner, the property is using different settings to tell stories from its first decade.

That approach highlights a trend among luxury urban hotels to offer reasons to visit beyond accommodation. Art, architecture and gastronomy can form part of a destination experience when presented as linked, carefully designed elements.

Planning a visit during the programme

Perspective, Crafted is scheduled to remain available until 23 October 2026. The hotel's announcement describes temporary installations and experiences, and visitors should not assume that every feature will remain after that date.

For travellers visiting Abu Dhabi this month, the programme offers a time-limited opportunity to see the hotel in a celebratory setting. Event access, dining availability and costs should be checked with Four Seasons before arranging a visit.
