Favre Leuba has added black and blue dial options to its Harpoon Revival, extending the grey-dial watch introduced at Watches and Wonders earlier in 2026. The two September references retain the compact proportions and eccentric hour-marker arrangement inspired by the Swiss maker's 1966 design.
The update offers a new look rather than a change of movement or case size, making it relevant to collectors who prefer a different tone on the wrist. Official pricing places the model in the attainable end of mechanical luxury watches.
Three versions of one design
The black and blue dials receive a sunray-brushed finish that responds to changing light. Horizontal hour markers at 12, six and nine o'clock, the Harpoon lettering and a framed date window preserve the original's recognisable layout.
The steel case measures 36.8 millimetres across and ten millimetres thick. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and luminous hands adapt the mid-century visual language for daily wear.
Mechanical details remain familiar
The automatic FLD04 calibre is based on the La Joux-Perret G100, with a stated 68-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to five atmospheres, which should not be confused with approval for professional diving.
Each watch has an interchangeable leather strap, supplied in black or brown depending on the dial. Favre Leuba describes a tool-free strap-change mechanism for owners who want to vary the presentation.
Price and availability
The maker publishes prices of CHF 1,800, £1,800, €2,100 and US$2,300 for the Harpoon Revival. Taxes and local retail terms may differ, so buyers should confirm their market's actual sale price.
The two dials extend a model released earlier in the year rather than introducing a wholly new watch family. The main choice is therefore between the quieter grey original and the newer black or blue alternatives.
