A rose rendered in leather
Barthès has created a dimensional rose from thin lambskin, finished with a small golden pearl. The cap turns Dior’s amphora-shaped bottle into a sculptural piece while retaining the recognisable connection to a rose flower.
The work is intended as an exceptional gift or collectible, not simply another seasonal colour variation. Dior describes a numbered edition of 300 pieces.
The perfume behind the object
Kurkdjian’s interpretation is a floral composition intended to emphasise the rose’s rounded, honeyed, green and fruity facets. Dior links the rose to the founder’s childhood garden and its continuing role in the house’s creative language.
Fragrance develops differently on individual skin and should be experienced before purchase when possible. The artistic story cannot establish how long the scent will last for every wearer.
