Conrad Nagoya has opened on the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, giving travellers a new luxury base in the heart of one of central Japan’s most interesting cities. The hotel combines 170 rooms and suites with six restaurants and bars, an indoor pool, spa facilities and curated experiences linked to local food, craft and culture.

A skyline hotel directly connected to Sakae Station

Conrad Nagoya occupies the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the tallest building in the district, with direct access to Sakae Station below. The location makes the hotel convenient for both city stays and onward trips to places such as Ise and Takayama.

Nagoya is often treated as a business stop between Tokyo and Osaka, but the city has its own strong culinary and craft traditions. Conrad is using that identity as part of the guest experience rather than positioning the hotel as a generic high-rise luxury property.

Rooms start above 50 square metres

The hotel has 170 guest rooms including 29 suites, with standard rooms measuring more than 50 square metres. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame wide views across the city, while bespoke metal artworks reference the movement and energy of the surrounding Sakae district.

The signature Conrad Suite occupies the 40th floor and spans 213 square metres. Its scale and skyline views give guests the option of a more residential stay while keeping them within easy reach of Nagoya’s shopping, restaurants and cultural attractions.

Six restaurants and bars focus on regional character

Dining ranges from Italian cooking at CASA OLIVA to sushi kaiseki at SORYU and teppan kaiseki at SOEN. The 40th-floor HOUSE OF MON rooftop bar adds craft cocktails and panoramic night views, while SUNDROP serves afternoon tea and drinks in the lobby lounge.

That mix allows the hotel to work as a food destination as well as a place to stay. Travellers can sample contemporary interpretations of Japanese dining without leaving the building, then use the city’s wider restaurant scene as a second layer of the trip.

Wellness and local experiences broaden the itinerary

Conrad Spa includes four treatment rooms, an indoor pool, sauna facilities and a 24-hour fitness centre. The wellness areas are designed as a calm counterpoint to the hotel’s dense urban setting and are positioned to make short city stays feel more restorative.

The Conrad 1/3/5 programme adds tea ceremonies, miso-making workshops, craft-beer experiences and access to Arimatsu Shibori textile traditions. For travellers interested in food and craftsmanship, those activities make Conrad Nagoya a useful starting point for exploring beyond the usual sightseeing list.
