A modern 60-foot Sunreef sailing catamaran
The Sunreef 60 NEXT is an 18.4-metre sailing catamaran that brings the builder's NEXT design programme into one of the most established size bands for luxury cruising multihulls. Its appeal is rooted in the combination of sailing capability and the large living platform created by a broad catamaran beam, giving owners more separation between social spaces, accommodation and outdoor areas than is normally possible on a monohull of similar length.
More emphasis on life close to the sea
Sunreef describes the NEXT generation as an evolution in space and flexibility across the flybridge or upper areas, forward terrace and aft cockpit. The Ocean Lounge concept, influenced by the company's larger yachts, is intended to make the stern a more usable waterside living area and to improve access to swimming and water toys. This is particularly relevant on a sailing yacht where owners may spend long periods at anchor and value exterior space as highly as outright sailing performance.
Efficiency, materials and owner specification
The NEXT programme also introduces newer energy-management ideas, further development of Sunreef's Solar Skin technology and alternatives to conventional teak decking. As with other semi-custom Sunreef models, individual yachts can differ significantly in interior arrangement, systems and equipment. Buyers should therefore assess not only the standard model concept but also the exact sail plan, energy package, accommodation and cruising specification proposed for an individual build.
