Arcadia A80 overview
The Arcadia A80 sits almost exactly at the upper limit of Luxury Yacht Guide's 12.00–23.99 metre range. At 23.98 metres overall, it combines the proportions of a substantial motor yacht with the builder's emphasis on outdoor living, widebody volume and efficient cruising. The 6.95-metre beam is unusually generous for the length, helping create a yacht whose appeal is as much about usable space at anchor as it is about passage-making.
Arcadia describes the A80 as its first raised-pilothouse model. The layout separates navigation from guest life while keeping the main social areas strongly connected to the sea. A beach area and an upper deck of about 80 square metres are central to the concept, with large exterior areas intended for lounging, dining and moving between inside and outside without the compartmentalised feel found on many conventional yachts of similar length.
Dimensions, machinery and accommodation
The current official specification gives an overall length of 23.98 metres, a 6.95-metre beam and a maximum draft of 1.69 metres. Full-load displacement is listed at 78 tonnes. Standard propulsion is by two Volvo Penta IPS 1200 units rated at 900 hp each, while IPS 1350 units rated at 1,000 hp each are offered as an alternative. Arcadia publishes approximately 19 knots maximum and 16 knots cruising with the standard package, rising to about 20 and 17 knots respectively with the larger option.
Fuel capacity is 8,000 litres and fresh water capacity is 2,100 litres. The guest arrangement provides ten beds in five cabins, while four crew can be accommodated in two cabins. That combination is notable below 24 metres because it gives the A80 the accommodation pattern and operational separation normally associated with a larger yacht.
Efficiency and use at anchor
The semi-displacement platform is paired with pod drives for manoeuvrability and efficiency. Arcadia also integrates solar generation into the yacht, with its current technical material publishing approximately 4.3 kW of solar-panel output. For an owner, the important point is not that solar replaces propulsion, but that it can contribute to auxiliary and hotel loads while the yacht is at rest.
