Arcadia Yachts

Arcadia Yachts is an Italian motor-yacht builder based in Torre Annunziata near Naples. The yard has developed a distinctive approach to luxury motor yachts centred on large exterior living areas, extensive glazing, efficient semi-displacement platforms and a close connection between the accommodation and the sea. Its own heritage material records the launch of the first Arcadia 85 on 22 December 2009.

Within Luxury Yacht Guide's 12.00–23.99 metre scope, Arcadia is currently represented by two contrasting production models: the Arcadia Sherpa 60 and the Arcadia A80. Larger Arcadia yachts fall outside the size range covered by this site.

Arcadia Sherpa 60

At 18.67 metres overall, the Sherpa 60 applies Arcadia's volume-led philosophy to a relatively compact platform. The defining feature is its unusually large aft deck, which the builder describes as exceeding 50 square metres. A semi-planing hull and Volvo Penta IPS propulsion are combined with a shallow 1.32-metre maximum draft.

The Sherpa 60 is particularly relevant for owners who spend substantial time at anchor and value open deck area, access to the water and flexible exterior use. Its published specification includes several IPS propulsion choices and an integrated solar installation, giving buyers a very different proposition from a conventional enclosed 60-foot flybridge yacht.

Arcadia A80

The 23.98-metre A80 sits almost exactly at the upper boundary of Luxury Yacht Guide. Arcadia describes it as its first raised-pilothouse yacht. Its 6.95-metre beam, five guest cabins and separate crew accommodation give it the operating characteristics of a considerably larger yacht while retaining an overall length below 24 metres.

The A80 uses Volvo Penta IPS pod drives and incorporates solar generation into the yacht's electrical strategy. Arcadia also places particular emphasis on its beach area, widebody volumes and approximately 80-square-metre upper deck.

Arcadia design philosophy

Across the two models covered here, several themes recur: substantial beam for the yacht's length, large open-air social areas, extensive glass, pod-drive propulsion and supplementary solar generation. The result is a range aimed more at space, efficiency and life at anchor than at maximum speed.

For buyers comparing luxury yachts between roughly 18 and 24 metres, Arcadia therefore deserves consideration alongside both traditional motor yachts and high-volume crossover designs. The Sherpa 60 provides the more compact, exterior-focused interpretation, while the A80 introduces five-cabin accommodation and raised-pilothouse functionality close to the 24-metre boundary.
