Genoa follows Cannes and Monaco in Wally's autumn programme

Wally’s appearance in Genoa comes after the brand participated in the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show during September. The sequence gives the company repeated exposure to different owner groups across the Mediterranean during the busiest part of the European show season.

Each event serves a slightly different audience, with Cannes leaning toward production and semi-custom yachts, Monaco focusing on the top end of the market and Genoa drawing a broad Italian and international marine crowd. That gives Wally several opportunities to position the same design philosophy across different segments.

The wallypower50X reflects the brand's current direction

Wally describes the wallypower50X as an outboard-powered interpretation of the core wallypower concept. The model is intended to combine dynamic performance with the clean styling, functional deck planning and technical experimentation that have long characterised the brand.

Outboard propulsion gives this size of yacht a different ownership proposition from larger inboard models, particularly around servicing, draught and installation flexibility. It also broadens Wally’s appeal to owners who want a fast dayboat or weekender without moving into a much larger platform.

Design remains based on form following function

Wally continues to define its product philosophy around the principle that form should follow function. On its motor yachts that approach appears in low-profile styling, open deck spaces and technical solutions intended to improve how owners move around and use the boat.

The visual identity is important, but the brand’s reputation also depends on whether unusual design choices make practical sense on the water. Genoa gives potential buyers a chance to assess those details in person rather than judging the boats only from photographs and renderings.

The Italian show reinforces Wally's Ferretti Group position

As part of Ferretti Group, Wally now sits alongside several established Italian yacht brands while retaining a distinct product identity. Genoa is therefore both a national home-market event for the parent group and a platform for Wally to demonstrate how its range differs from the group’s other offerings.

That combination gives the brand access to a broad commercial network while preserving the design-led positioning that originally made Wally distinctive. Continued show visibility is important as the company expands the wallypower family and targets a wider base of performance-oriented owners.
