VAGUALAM has joined Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage's sales fleet in Antibes, bringing a privately used Jeanneau 57 to the market. The 17.28-metre cruising yacht was built in 2011 to naval architect Philippe Briand's design.
The broker says the same family has owned VAGUALAM since she was new, with professional crews maintaining her throughout that period. A consistent history is useful, but prospective buyers should still examine service invoices and independent survey findings.
Three cabins arranged for six
Three en-suite double cabins accommodate six guests, with the forward owner's suite separate from the two aft cabins. The arrangement prioritises private sleeping spaces for family cruising rather than maximum berth numbers.
A viewing should clarify how cabin size, access and storage work for the intended programme. Longer voyages place different demands on a layout than a succession of short weekend trips.
Technical autonomy below 24 metres
The broker lists a 9.5kW Onan generator and a watermaker capable of producing 160 litres per hour. Reverse-cycle air conditioning across five units and two Victron solar panels supplement the cruising equipment.
These are practical systems for a yacht spending time away from shore services. Their actual condition and maintenance history should form part of any purchase inspection.
Hull work in 2024
The hull was fully sandblasted during 2024 and protected with three layers of epoxy, according to the announcement. A recent sail-wardrobe renewal also features in the broker's description.
Those works should be supported by the yard records, photographs and invoices available to a purchaser. Rigging, sails and hull protection still warrant current inspection despite the dates of the reported upgrades.
A new owner for a family cruiser
The yacht has been used for private family cruising rather than being described as an ex-charter vessel. That distinction helps prospective owners understand the disclosed history, without replacing a technical assessment.
VAGUALAM is offered in Antibes, where appointments can be arranged through the brokerage team. The announcement does not publish a current asking price, so LYG has not inferred a figure.
