A coupé designed for time outdoors

The 15.72-metre C48 is a reminder that a cruiser need not have a flybridge to offer separate, usable social areas. Sessa Marine emphasises a generously proportioned cockpit, contemporary lighting and a continuous connection between the saloon and aft deck.

The yacht's hardtop incorporates an electric opening sunroof, while the helm area has a sliding side window. Both features allow the enclosed driving position to be adapted as conditions change during a day on the water.

Forward, wide passages and a dedicated sunpad create another place to relax. That separation matters on a small party boat because guests may want shade near the dining table while others prefer sun or an uninterrupted view ahead.

Tender handling without complicated lifting

A hydraulic bathing platform forms the centrepiece of the transom arrangement. It lowers for swimming or the launch of water equipment and avoids making tender access wholly dependent on manual effort.

The shipyard describes an aft garage capable of accommodating a tender up to 2.85 metres long, with the potential to carry a small jet tender depending on its dimensions. This is an equipment-envelope figure, not a blanket guarantee that any craft of that length will fit.

The same stern area needs to handle a number of different tasks, from boarding swimmers to deploying a tender or taking lines in the marina. Prospective owners should test the platform and garage operation together, checking safe access with equipment stowed.

Two cabins and Volvo pod propulsion

Sessa specifies two cabins and a sleeping arrangement described as four berths plus two additional places. It lists a maximum passenger capacity of 12, which is a separate measure from the number comfortably accommodated overnight.

The technical sheet gives a beam of 4.28 metres, approximately 1.10 metres of draft and twin IPS650 propulsion with a combined nominal output of 960hp. Volvo's pod system includes joystick manoeuvring at the helm, according to the standard equipment list.

Fuel is carried in two tanks of 636 litres each, while fresh-water capacity is listed at 530 litres. Range and speed cannot be responsibly calculated from capacities alone, and Sessa's own model page leaves the maximum-speed field blank.

The finer points of daily ownership

Inside the cockpit, the published equipment includes a refrigerator, sink, food preparation surface and sheltered table area. The builder also lists a Raymarine Axiom display and a sliding electric roof among the principal onboard features.

Practical assessment should extend beyond the glossy finish. Examine the engine-room access under the stern, how much storage remains when the tender is carried and how easily guests can move from side deck to cockpit.

The C48 is an established model, not a newly announced 2026 launch. Its present appeal lies in a carefully integrated set of cruising conveniences, and any specific yacht's equipment, condition and performance require individual verification.
