The Santasevera 42 arrives in Cannes
Santasevera returned to the Cannes Yachting Festival with the 42 and 52 displayed afloat and available for sea trials. For the 42, the event marks its Cannes debut after the model’s international premiere at boot Düsseldorf earlier in the year.
The two yachts present a consistent family design rather than two unrelated products at different sizes. Both use low, flowing profiles and open exterior layouts, giving the Italian builder a recognisable identity in the crowded premium dayboat and open-cruiser market.
Ten sales for each model
The stronger commercial detail from the Cannes announcement is Santasevera’s statement that the 52 has reached ten units sold one year after launch. The yard also says the newer 42 has now reached the same figure, giving the range twenty sales across the two models before the line expands further.
That early order volume is significant for a young specialist brand because it demonstrates demand beyond a single launch customer or demonstrator. It also gives the builder a broader installed base as it develops additional models above and below the existing 42- and 52-foot offerings.
Open layouts put the cockpit first
The Santasevera 42 uses a cockpit-focused arrangement with a C-shaped sofa, exterior galley, twin chaise longues and a beach-club area at the stern. The hardtop version shown at Cannes adds shelter without closing off the outdoor character that defines the model.
The larger 52 measures 16.35 metres and develops its main deck on a single level, reinforcing the same emphasis on uninterrupted movement between social spaces. Together the two boats target owners who want the style and finish of a luxury yacht but spend most of their time outdoors and close to the water.
The range is moving beyond two core models
Santasevera says several additional projects are already under development under founder and designer Francesco Guida. The Cannes appearance therefore serves both as a sales showcase for the current range and as evidence that the company is building toward a broader family of yachts.
For Luxury Yacht Guide readers, the 42 and 52 are especially relevant because both sit well below the 24m boundary while offering the design language and custom feel usually associated with larger yachts. Their early sales performance will be worth watching as the yard adds new sizes and expands its dealer footprint.
