The Coupé returns to Nimbus roots
Nimbus has announced the 495 Coupé as the enclosed counterpart to the 495 Flybridge, returning the largest platform in the range to the protected cruising format that has long defined the Swedish builder.
The model is intended for extended owner-operated use rather than occasional fair-weather weekends, with emphasis on interior living, visibility and year-round protection.
Bridge clearance shaped the design
A key figure is the air draft. With an electrically folding mast, Nimbus says the 495 Coupé can reduce clearance to under 3.5 metres, opening access to more European canals, inland waterways and bridge-limited routes.
A shortened bathing-platform option can also bring overall length below 14 metres for owners dealing with berth or registration constraints.
The platform is already owner-tested
The Coupé shares its engineering base with the 495 Flybridge. Nimbus says feedback from existing 495 owners has highlighted manoeuvrability and the spatial connection between helm, galley, saloon and cockpit.
The hull uses vacuum-infused construction with a Divinycell core and four similarly constructed structural bulkheads to create a rigid platform for offshore and coastal cruising.
Deliveries start in 2027
Nimbus presented the Coupé concept digitally around Boot Düsseldorf 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to start in 2027.
For buyers wanting a large sub-15m cruising yacht with protected living spaces and manageable owner operation, the 495 Coupé adds a distinct alternative to open and flybridge layouts.
