A deadline for marine professionals planning Amsterdam

Organisers of METSTRADE have confirmed that free visitor registration for the November 2026 exhibition ends on 31 October. From 1 November, the online entry fee will be €90 excluding VAT, giving yacht builders, equipment suppliers, dealers and marina operators a clear reason to complete their arrangements before the month ends.

The main exhibition is scheduled for 17 to 19 November at RAI Amsterdam, but METSTRADE stresses that professional meetings extend beyond the show-floor dates. The trade gathering routinely brings together more than 20,000 people involved in marine technology and recreational boating, creating opportunities for owners’ representatives and the companies supporting yachts below 24 metres.

Why the programme matters to smaller luxury yachts

Yacht buyers naturally pay attention to the boats displayed at waterfront shows, but exhibitions focused on technical equipment help explain the systems that will appear aboard forthcoming models. Navigation, electrical infrastructure, energy management, coatings and fittings can all influence the practical experience of owning a 12- to 24-metre yacht.

A working visit to METSTRADE allows designers and yard purchasing teams to question manufacturers directly about maintenance, installation and compatibility. For boat owners this matters because seemingly minor choices made during construction can affect reliability, future refit costs and the availability of service in particular cruising regions.

The exhibition is also a commercial meeting place for dealers and distributors. A new onboard product is most useful when its warranty, parts supply and technical support can be handled without prolonged delays, so contacts developed at Amsterdam can be as valuable as the product launches themselves.

Specialist forums extend the week

The wider event schedule includes the Superyacht Forum on 16 and 17 November and a Yacht Infrastructure Summit on 18 November, bringing operational and investment questions into the same professional week. While the former is principally directed at larger yachts, developments in training, service standards and shipyard supply chains can also influence the wider leisure-marine market.

A Yacht Racing Forum on 19 and 20 November examines subjects including engineering, safety, commercial partnerships and racing operations. That programme is particularly relevant to specialists supporting performance sailing craft and to builders translating race-tested systems into more accessible production yacht designs.

METSTRADE director Niels Klarenbeek has encouraged visitors to consider an extended stay in Amsterdam rather than treating the exhibition as three isolated days. Industry participants should check individual conference admission terms, since complimentary exhibition registration does not necessarily provide entry to every associated event.

A practical visit starts before arrival

The October announcement coincides with a new promotional film presenting Amsterdam as the centre of a larger network of marine meetings, product demonstrations and informal gatherings. Visitors can use the remaining registration window to arrange supplier meetings, select conference sessions and plan time for technology demonstrations relevant to their work.

For yacht owners and captains attending with a specific technical question, advance preparation can make the visit more productive. Taking details of installed equipment, vessel dimensions, operating requirements and maintenance problems will allow discussions with manufacturers to focus on realistic solutions rather than general marketing claims.

The closing date is 31 October, and the main exhibition remains scheduled for 17–19 November 2026. Registration and programme updates should be checked directly with METSTRADE, because event conditions and conference access may change after the official announcement.
