Metstrade has announced the first 20 companies confirmed for its two startup areas at the 2026 exhibition in Amsterdam. Fourteen will appear in the general Metstrade Startups Area in Hall 5, while six companies are initially confirmed for the Superyacht Startups Area in Hall 8.

The programme is organised with Yachting Ventures and is intended to connect early-stage marine businesses with manufacturers, distributors, investors, shipyards and yacht managers. Fort Insurance has also been confirmed as official sponsor of both startup areas.

Fourteen startups join the Hall 5 programme

The first Hall 5 group comprises Vital Lyfe, SWAY, Northern Light, TONJO, Kaiman Marine, WOW – Works on Water, Primum, FETCH, NZeroWax, SensiBlue, Cadentia Technologies, Boot Experte Costa Brava, Marine Management and OZ venture – Sea Mop. Their businesses span materials, energy, digital systems, services and other areas of the wider leisure-marine supply chain.

For production-yacht builders, that breadth matters because innovation increasingly comes from specialist suppliers rather than only from the large equipment manufacturers. New materials, energy-management tools, software and maintenance technologies can move quickly from startup demonstrations into production or retrofit applications.

Six companies confirmed for the superyacht startup area

The Hall 8 Superyacht Startups Area initially includes Sea·it, Zeafarer, Massive Marine, The Galley Table, MAIT Tech and Leak Stop Gun. Although that zone is labelled for the superyacht sector, several of the underlying technologies and service concepts can also cross into yachts below 24 metres.

Metstrade says the two zones place founders directly among established marine businesses and purchasing decision-makers. That can shorten the route from a prototype or early commercial product to trials with boatbuilders, distributors and fleet operators.

Fort Insurance backs both startup zones

Fort Insurance is sponsoring both areas as part of its continuing partnership with Yachting Ventures. The organisers frame the sponsorship as support for emerging marine businesses, while giving the startups a dedicated platform inside the industry's largest equipment-focused trade show.

Metstrade said only a small number of spaces remained available when the first group was announced. That means the final startup roster may grow beyond the initial 20 before the Amsterdam event opens in November.

Metstrade returns from 17 to 19 November

Metstrade 2026 runs from 17 to 19 November at RAI Amsterdam. The wider exhibition covers marine equipment, materials, systems, boatbuilding technology, marina infrastructure and specialist superyacht suppliers alongside its conference and awards programmes.

For Luxury Yacht Guide, the startup zones are particularly useful as an early view of technologies that may reach the 12-to-23.99-metre sector in future model years. The November show will provide a clearer indication of which of the new companies have products ready for adoption by production builders and refit yards.
