A place in the Cannes fleet
Absolute took eleven models to the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, held from 8 to 13 September. Its 70 FLY formed part of that display alongside other flybridge yachts and the yard's new Navetta presentations.
The yacht measures 21.53 metres overall in Luxury Yacht Guide's production-yacht records. It is therefore within the publication's market boundary, unlike vessels measuring 24 metres or more.
The model's inclusion is a display announcement rather than a claim of a Cannes world premiere. The show gave visitors an opportunity to explore an existing design in the context of Absolute's wider range.
Cockpit and waterside use
Absolute highlights a modular terrace cockpit as a defining feature of the 70 FLY. Flexible furniture is intended to let owners adapt the aft space to meals, relaxation and company.
A stern platform supports access to the sea, making the route from the cockpit an important part of the overall layout. It is worth testing that movement in person when a yacht is being considered for frequent swimming stops.
Forward, a convertible bow sunpad creates another place to spend time outdoors. Separate areas are useful when guests want different levels of shade, activity and privacy.
Views from the saloon
Panoramic windows give the main living areas a close visual connection to the water. Those openings influence the experience at anchor as well as the atmosphere during a passage.
The saloon and cockpit are designed to work as connected spaces, rather than isolated rooms. Owners should assess movement between them and how the furniture supports their regular group size.
Above, the flybridge provides another substantial open-air social area. A tour should include the position of the helm and the route between the upper and main decks.
Questions for prospective owners
A display yacht is a useful starting point for assessing the arrangement, but its exact equipment should be confirmed with the builder or dealer. Individual configurations may differ from the show example.
The 70 FLY illustrates Absolute's approach to creating several distinct outdoor settings below 24 metres. That design theme was visible across the builder's Cannes line-up.
