Ferretti Group has opened the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival with a broad cross-brand fleet, including three yachts that fall squarely inside Luxury Yacht Guide’s 12.00–23.99 metre editorial range. The sub-24-metre group comprises the 22.5-metre Ferretti Yachts 720, the 21.23-metre Itama 70 and the 17.27-metre Riva 56’ Rivale Super, giving visitors three different interpretations of luxury motor yachting below the superyacht threshold.
The Cannes line-up needs one important distinction. Ferretti Group’s event page brings the models together as part of its show presentation, but the Group’s own September preview material confirms that the redesigned Ferretti Yachts 720 had already received its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf earlier in 2026, while Itama 70 and Riva 56’ Rivale Super are making their world-premiere show appearances at Cannes.
Three Ferretti Group yachts inside the sub-24m sector
For Luxury Yacht Guide, the trio is notable because all three sit well within the publication’s defined size band while offering very different ownership propositions. The Ferretti Yachts 720 is a flybridge motor yacht, while Itama 70 and Riva 56’ Rivale Super follow lower, sportier open-yacht concepts aimed at owners who place a stronger emphasis on outdoor living and performance.
Ferretti Group is exhibiting at Cannes from 8 to 13 September, with its fleet centred on the Vieux Port. The event therefore brings the three models together in one setting, allowing buyers to compare how different Group brands package accommodation, deck space, speed and design character without moving above the 24-metre threshold.
Ferretti Yachts 720 brings a 22.5m flybridge platform
At 22.5 metres overall with a maximum beam of 5.60 metres, the redesigned Ferretti Yachts 720 is the largest of the three yachts covered here. Ferretti Group says the new version develops its “Just Like Home” concept with more light, storage and usable space, while exterior design is by Filippo Salvetti and interiors are by IdeaeItalia.

The model’s appearance at Cannes follows its world premiere at boot Düsseldorf earlier in the year, so its role in the French show is different from the two open yachts making their Cannes debuts. Even so, the 720 is an important comparison point for buyers who want a conventional flybridge layout and larger enclosed living spaces while remaining comfortably below 24 metres.
Itama 70 makes its Cannes world premiere
Itama 70 measures 21.23 metres overall with a beam of 5.30 metres and represents the second model in Itama’s range-renewal programme. The yacht was developed by Ferretti Group’s product strategy and engineering teams, with exterior styling by Vallicelli Design and interiors by IdeaeItalia, preserving the brand’s low-profile open-yacht identity while updating the use of space on board.

Cannes gives Itama 70 its world-premiere show appearance after the first unit was launched at Ferretti Group’s Marina di Ravenna facility in May. The result places a new 70-foot open yacht directly alongside the Group’s larger flybridge offering, giving buyers a clear choice between enclosed-volume priorities and a more performance-led Mediterranean layout.
Riva 56’ Rivale Super adds a 17.27m open yacht
Riva 56’ Rivale Super is the most compact of the three at 17.27 metres overall, with a maximum beam of 4.74 metres. Designed by Officina Italiana Design in collaboration with Ferretti Group’s product and engineering teams, the restyled model updates the windscreen area, hull-side detailing and cockpit ergonomics while retaining the sleek open-yacht profile associated with the Rivale line.
Riva lists twin 1,000hp MAN V8 engines as standard, with a stated maximum speed of 34 knots and 28-knot cruising speed, while the optional twin 1,200hp installation raises the preliminary figures to 38 and 32 knots respectively. The 56’ Rivale Super is making its world premiere at Cannes before also heading to the Genoa International Boat Show in October.
A three-model view of the luxury-yacht market below 24m
Together, the three yachts show how broad the sub-24-metre market has become within a single industrial group. Ferretti Yachts 720 prioritises flybridge volume and domestic-style comfort, Itama 70 offers a larger open platform with a strong Mediterranean identity, and Riva 56’ Rivale Super concentrates the same broad themes of outdoor living and performance into a substantially smaller package.
For buyers comparing yachts in this size range, Cannes provides a useful opportunity to assess those differences side by side rather than treating length alone as the defining measure. Layout, beam, cruising style, marina requirements and preferred balance between indoor and outdoor space remain just as important, and these three Ferretti Group models illustrate how differently those priorities can be resolved below 24 metres.
