Confirmed for the October fleet
The yard has listed the Dufour 39, 41, 48 and 54 for Genoa's Waterfront di Levante show. Its September Grand Pavois display also included the 48, but Genoa offers a new Mediterranean viewing opportunity rather than a second model premiere.
The 48 belongs to LYG's yacht-size range and is pitched at owners combining extended cruising with substantial outdoor living space. The relevant story is the available configuration at this autumn's show, not an invented launch announcement.
Two approaches to the cockpit
Dufour offers the model with or without an optional hardtop, which can carry 1,300 watts of solar panels. The open configuration retains direct exposure to the sea and gives owners a different balance between shade, protection and sailing feel.
An exterior galley and convertible cockpit tables are part of the design's social arrangement. When inspecting the boat, buyers should consider how access, watchkeeping and seating will work with a full crew on passage, not just at anchor.
A flexible accommodation plan
The yard quotes 15.29 metres of hull length, a 4.85-metre beam and a 2.35-metre draft in its standard specification. It describes configurations from three to five cabins and a capacity of up to twelve berths, depending on the layout.
The interior can include a flexible space for an office, storage, laundry or an additional berth arrangement. Dufour's 2026 material options use lighter finishes and recycled-fabric choices, but a buyer should verify the final selection on the build specification.
Cruising autonomy is a specification question
The published Dufour 48 figures include 530 litres of fresh water, 250 litres of diesel and a standard 57hp auxiliary engine. The yard also describes an ODSea+ energy package with lithium storage, a generator and hydrogeneration, which is optional and needs a hull-specific equipment list.
Prospective owners can use Genoa to compare the actual layout with the Dufour 41 and 54 and assess their own passage and berth requirements. The photograph accompanying this report is the builder's Dufour 48 model image, not documentary evidence of a particular Genoa hull.
