Two Gran Turismo premieres lead the display
Beneteau will use the Melbourne Boat Show from 15 to 18 October 2026 for the Asia-Pacific premieres of the Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupe. Both sit within the luxury-yacht size band covered by LYG and represent the newest generation of the Gran Turismo range.
The event gives Australian buyers their first regional opportunity to inspect the two models together in person. That is valuable because hull proportions, cockpit flow and enclosed living spaces are much easier to compare aboard the actual yachts than through digital launch material.
Eight models cover several boating styles
Beneteau's wider Melbourne display will include eight models spanning motor yachts, sailing boats and dayboats. Alongside the two Gran Turismo yachts, the builder plans to show the Oceanis 30.1 and First 30 plus four Antares models aimed at flexible coastal use.
That breadth reflects Beneteau's position across several leisure-boat categories and gives visitors a useful cross-section of ownership styles. Buyers can compare express cruising with sailing and dayboat formats without leaving the same manufacturer display, making the event more informative than a single-model launch.
Australia remains an important regional market
Beneteau is appearing in partnership with Australian dealer Sundance Marine, which provides the local sales and support connection for owners. Dealer strength matters for imported yachts because commissioning, warranty work and ongoing technical assistance continue long after the original purchase decision.
Assigning two Asia-Pacific premieres to Melbourne also shows that Beneteau considers the Australian market important in the international rollout of new models. Regional debuts create attention around the product while giving local customers earlier access to boats first shown in Europe.
A comparison point for express-cruiser buyers
The Gran Turismo 35 and 40 Coupe are aimed at owners who want enclosed comfort without moving into a much larger yacht. Their format combines weather protection, social cockpit space and manageable dimensions, making them relevant to private owners who expect to operate with limited crew.
Showing both models side by side should make differences in accommodation, deck arrangement and cruising ambitions easier to judge. For buyers deciding how much yacht they genuinely need, that practical comparison may be more useful than simply choosing the largest model within budget.
