The dealership creates a direct local Azimut channel
The Nautical Group now represents Azimut across New Zealand and becomes the local point of contact for buyers considering a new yacht. The company will support owners from initial model selection through purchase, customisation, delivery and the later stages of ownership.
For New Zealand clients, that reduces the need to manage every part of the process remotely with Europe. Buyers can work with a domestic team while still remaining connected to Azimut’s shipyard and technical organisation in Italy.
A Mount Maunganui showroom will support the new operation
The Nautical Group is opening a dedicated Azimut showroom in Mount Maunganui. The space is intended for client meetings, model discussions and specification work, with an interior inspired by Azimut’s Italian design identity.
A local showroom also gives prospective owners a more permanent contact point between boat shows. That matters in a market where the purchase cycle can stretch across months of model comparisons, factory visits, configuration decisions and financing or trade-in discussions.
The appointment builds on recent Azimut transactions
The Nautical Group says it sold two Azimut Grande 27M yachts earlier in 2026, one new build and one pre-owned example. Those yachts sit above the LYG size limit, but the transactions gave the brokerage experience with the brand’s build process, ownership requirements and client support structure.
The official dealership now extends that relationship across the full Azimut range, including several models within LYG’s 12-to-under-24-metre coverage such as the Verve 42, Atlantis 51 and Fly 53. That gives New Zealand buyers local access to models across several different styles of owner-operated luxury yachting.
After-sales support is central to the New Zealand offer
The dealership includes warranty administration, servicing and ongoing owner support rather than focusing only on new-yacht sales. That is especially relevant in New Zealand, where owners may cruise far from the large Mediterranean service centres used by many European brands.
For LYG buyers, the practical benefit of the appointment is therefore broader than showroom access. A recognised local dealer can simplify maintenance planning, warranty claims, technical support and resale preparation throughout the ownership cycle.
